Time to say good bye to NVC (well almost). Case Completed today. Waiting for interview scheduling. :dancing::dancing:

Too overwhelmed right now. Actually, I don't mind sharing that I am crying now as I am typing...

I am so happy that I found you guys (a very supportive family I might add). Always helpful with very clear suggestions on what to do and what not to do.

I would like to name a few people and would like to say that I am so fortunate to have you by my side helping me all the way - Saylin, Kaylara, Changnoi, NLR, BOS_LHR, Waiting____, Peace500 and many more... Please keep doing what you have done for the rest of us so tirelessly and without any personal benefit. A BIG Thank You.

Called NVC again, spoke with a really rude lady. She seemed really pissed off and was getting more irritated when i asked more questions. Nobody monitors their call or what? Amazing.Anyways, so finally she did confirm that i do have a case complete. Since i obtained the police certificate in Feb and its valid only for 6 months it was sort of a reminder to take the most recent police certificate for the interview. So alls well by the grace of God.

OOH congrats! are you on the saylin spreadsheet? Just wondered because you seem to be the first April submitted DS 260 person with case complete, and that gives me hope~!! yay!

My husband has my Name tattooed on his arm and I have his on the back of my neck. Should we show them as evidence at our interview. lol :rofl:

I am retired and I am sponsoring my spouse. What "current" income does your joint sponsor have and how can he prove it?

He send me his latest tax returns and his income is 39000$

I had my case # on 10-Apr.

Today I had DS261 available and I hope tomorrow I'll have the AoS fees invoiced.

BUT, it varies for everybody. Some people get it right away once the case # and IIN are assigned.

It could take up to a week.

If you call NVC, they'll tell you it takes 20 to 30 business days: don't panic! it is only matter of days now!

I was getting depressed until I got DS261 available!

I am going to Montreal to be with my husband for the interview. Is it better for me to stay at the hotel or go into the interview with him. I am super nervous but don't want him to mess anything up paperwork wise.

Ankit, that was LAST year's income. Your joint sponsor is responsible for the next 10 years. He has to show CURRENT (i.e. 2014) income. Last year's tax returns are not good enough to show CURRENT income.

It depends on whether or not the Consulate in Montreal will allow you to attend the interview with him. Check with the Canadians to see if the USC is allowed to accompany the beneficiary!

Double check the numbers that you typed in. If you think there is no error call NVC to get your case number and IIN again.
