Let me wish everyone here at NVC best wishes. I specially want to wish several of you whose cases are running parallely here at NVC with our case - Changnoi, waiting___, ja&ka, senegal0123, amveam, Fabian&Rossy, dadajnm, ya12yo23, jem13 and a few others. Hope you get your Case Complete by the middle of April and interview in May.

Right back at ya bkghosh and everyone else! April is our month!

Received an email today from NVC with our case number and instructions on filling out DS-261. Is it normal for the petitioner (myself) to be the agent who receives all the correspondence? That is what I designated, I can't pay yet though :(

You are fine. If no lawyer, then petitioner can normally be the agent. Your AOS invoice should appear by tomorrow or the day after.

Is that when it is? I'm not a big comic con person... but I always thought it would be interesting to go, if only to see all the people dressed up. (and in the case of Colorado, also high as kites. LOL!!!)

What I really liked about DCC last year is that it didn't feel as large as it actually was (an estimated 70k attendees over the weekend), and it was full of different mediums - comics, anime, movies, books, various fandoms, cosplay, you name it. There were a lot of fun panels, too. I'd definitely recommend checking it out, it was a ton of fun. :) (Boulder's always fun during 4/20 for that very reason, hahaha.)

The reason you use IE is because ALL government websites are made to go with IE. If you happen to make it work in another browser, consider yourself lucky. Safari is why you had issues, not the forms. My husband works for the government and every single time I tell him that someone used another browser he mutters bad words under his breath then tells me not to tell him anymore... LOL! (He was in the USAF for 8 years and now works for the FAA.)

Everyone can do as they like but to not have issues, use IE. No matter HOW you look at, the US government can see everything you're doing and look at anything they want on your computer. If it's on there and they want to see it, they will. If you're worried about outside hackers, a firewall (especially a decent router) generally stops most people as it's too much effort for the average hacker to bother with when there are easier targets.

Take it as you will, just some info from a self professed computer geek, married to a geekier husband who works for the US government.

That's a good advice and from an expert geek :)

We are no computer geeks but it worked well for payments. But the DS-260 questions would have been same on IE and safari. We were sent the 2013 DS 260 forms perhaps.

Enjoy your evening!!!

DS-260 Screen Shots...The most talked about page is this one.

You have to list every address since 16 years of age.

It times out on you and wont let you save it.

I found a way around that. If you have many address's

and you need a break just use the date in the last

address entered that corresponds to your 16th birthdate

and save. You are allowed to go back later and edit it

and keep filling in the address's until you are done.

I found it helpful to have all the addresses written down, in order, before I started the form. I had to write down 18 addresses so that worked for me. :)

I left my I-864 blank where I didn't need to fill it out, I really hope I don't get a checklist for that :cry::cry:

We have seen some VJers getting a check list for not putting N/A for address column. If mailing and residence addresses are same then you need to put N/A in next column. We submitted i-864 blank as where didn't need to fill any info.

Let's hope for the best!!!

Is it reasonable to have anxiety about handing over your civil documents to the United States postal service? Some of those documents are 30- nearly 40 years old and I am going to be uneasy until I know that they are received at the NVC.

I saw your signature and noticed that you have got medicals scheduled for 4/30... did knightsbridge not have an earlier date? just curious.. and yes it is perfectly ok to be anxious about the documents make sure you get tracking and signature on arrival on the package.. :)

I forgot to use IE when I paid AOS and it went through fine (well rejected the first time, but that was because I had the wrong account number). I definitely remembered to pay IV fee with IE though! Don't want to jinx it!
