Just got off the phone with NVC, rep Jenny was really nice and helpful, although I was a bit disappointed at first she made me feel at ease with the flow of our conversation.

• I found out that they got my husband's email address wrong, she updated it and asked for my email address as well. She said that they will resend an email regarding the Affidavit of Support fee and told me to wait 5 days.
• Got our IIN too and I signed in to the website immediately and completed the DS-261 form.

Hopefully our NVC process will go on smoothly from here.

Good morning everyone...I'm new on this thread, just got my approval a couple of days ago....now trying to get all the information so I can go forward with the process....I have a question..in the IV package says that I must send birth, marriage and police records as well as 2 passport pictures , now the question is...I'm petitioning for my wife and two children, do I have to send their pictures and birth certificates as well?, I did send those in the original package, except my wifes birth certificates, I did sent the marriage certificate, but I'm a little confuse if i have to send them again...

Folks, just a friendly reminder: please READ stuff (NVC Process wiki, EP wiki [if doing EP], official form instructions, USCIS/NVC websites).

Although I'm not answering questions anymore, I'm still reading all the posts in my inbox and I've seen quite a few questions that can be answered if you simply read what's available.

And if for whatever reason, you can't find the answer, try searching both on this website and on Google. It's amazing what you could find if you search

And if you're wondering about time frames, I've got a spreadsheet available for a reason And if you're trying to look at a time tick not on it (such as bills being invoiced), look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Actually you do not have to wait for the NVC emails. You can log into the CEAC website and make the I-864 payment (when it is ready), and later after the DS261 is reviewed and accepted you can make the IV-fee payment. NVC is usually about a week late in sending out emails anyway.

You will need to call them to find out

a. if they physically got them and when

b. if the AOS and the IV are approved and when

c. if your application has been approved and when (Case Complete)

NVC will send you an email about Case Complete a few days after it was actually completed.

Thank you! I somehow thought they were sending automatic emails once they scan the packages...
