I know another member just in the past month or so had success sending a revised AOS prior to receiving a checklist, but I can't remember who it was. Hopefully they'll pop in and let you know! I seem to remember it barely being a setback at all, though.

They haven't updated their instructions yet, but no worries, you'll be doing the online DS-260. It'll become available once the fee shows as PAID on CEAC.

I think it was Nobby7. :)

Make sure to write your case # in the top corner of all pages. In case they get separated.

Just curious... Did you write the case number with pen or pencil?

I thought on using pencil on the IV package so I don't write permanently over my original docs.. This way I could erase the number after getting them back at the embassy. Another member suggested to use sticky notes, but they might get off easily when handling the docs

Called NVC and case isn't there yet

Called uscis and spoke to IO and was told to be patient and that they don't like to be rushed. Once my file is sent NVC will contact me.

19 days and counting. I requested an inquiry and it's probably going to take 2 weeks. It seemed like uscis and NVC love me way too much. There are holding on to the file until they hit their max time.

What to do? Should I make an infopass appointment? My file is at the local office and it's three hours away from where I live.

I am stressed and angry!

I have the same NOA2 date as you, and I called NVC as well, they still haven't received my case. Where is it your case was processed at? Are you saying they told you they still have it at the service center and havent shipped it?

Still no sign of IV fee invoice... 3 weeks. Anyone waiting for IV fee invoice more than 3 weeks?

It's been 15 business days since you "resubmitted" the DS-261. Call the NVC and ask what's going on.

Relax. It can take up to 8 weeks for a case to be send to the NVC from a USCIS office.

I'm sending in the amended AOS today, does anyone have any experience with sending in a correction before its reviewed and checklisted? I don't want to waste anymore time and my lawyer is pissing me off . I don't need his signature since I'm sending it in myself and I will include an explanation with the amendment about how the lawyer used the worng dollar amount . 1040 and tax transcript will also be included even though they already have the transcript in the original package.

Sometimes you get a case complete on the old package without a checklist and then after your case complete they reopen it and checklist you. So... i generally don't recommend sending anything without a checklist because it requires a barcoded cover sheet that THEY send you.

But if it's done, it's done. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. :)

Just received IV interview schedule from NVC. Hope this helps.

04/08 - Case complete

05/20 - IV interview

I forgot to add the case number to every page, in the last checklist.

I was going to write the number with pencil but forgot somehow, but all came out well.

It'll be better to note it anyway.

Checklist question: I received my checklist in the mail today and the address on the coversheet is attn: DM instead of CMR. I sent my package attn: CMR because I used the address where I sent things before. Could this cause a delay? It was received by NVC today via USPS.

Yes I used pencil on the IV packet. My thinking was the same as yours. The sticky notes could come off. And with the pencil you can just erase it when you get the docs back. Great minds think alike! :)

I would go with the sticky notes, no need to deface originals with case #s. My 2 cents

I used blank Avery labels and edited the template in Microsoft Word to repeat my case#...

3 case numbers per label...I then used scissors to cut each label.

I put my easy peel case# sticker in the top right corner of each paper in my IV package.

I place the stickers on both copies and originals.

I had tested them ahead of time and determined they would not damage my originals

but had sufficient adhesion to remain temporarily attached for this purpose.

I purchased a smaller quantity than is depicted in the photo. :D

WEll I got my case numbers and Invoice ID #'s - it was scanned in on Friday April 11th-

I am sure this is Normal... When I go to the PAYMENT PORTAL, and punch in case # and IID# It shows AOS Fee NOT INVOICED. and just below that under IV Application Process fees - nothing listed...... yet this takes a few days now right?? how come I see some people able to PAY the same day?
