Can you please copy paste the exact words on your checklist? Also, if you are only two ppl u& wife, I think your income should be around 19,662. If you meet this you don't need a co-sponsor. Following is the link for I 864.

http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864.pdf

I dont meat the povery guidlnes as i dont have a job , my uncle is my joint sponsor he is retired and his 2013 income in 39000 he has a wife

The NVC has received the information you have submitted in reference to

the Affidavit of Support. Please be advised that the Affidavit of Support

information you have provided does not appear to meet the minimum

income requirement according to the current poverty guidelines to sponsor

the intending immigrant(s) for this petition. The consular officer will make

a decision regarding this requirement at the time of your interview. In

order to avoid delays, you may wish to submit an additional Affidavit of

Support (Form I-864) for a/another Joint Sponsor to the National Visa

Center to assist in sponsoring the intending immigrants. To view the

current poverty guidelines, visit

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf.

If you decide to use a Joint Sponsor to assist in sponsoring the intending

immigrants, please note that you the sponsor may not use Form I-864EZ

and will also need to submit Form I-864

If you take a look at the NVC Spreadsheet (link in Post 1) you will get an idea of the waiting time. I took a sample of last 15 Case Completes from this spreadsheet - the average # of days from NOA2 --> Case # Assigned is 44 days (Minimum 18, Maximum 60).

it's always taken 1-4 weeks for the NVC to get the case and another 10-30 business days for them to assign case numbers. :)

the 5-8 weeks is the ridiculous part imho.

Sis congrats..i hope i had mine this month also..

I was reading your signature....

You received a checklist and sent the correction really fast.... Does the checklist come via email or did you call? I'm asking because I am expecting a checklist as I am pretty sure my lawyer used the wrong dollar amount on my AOS. He insisted it should be the adjusted income not total. I literally begged him to correct it but he said they won't bother with it because the amount is over the poverty amount. I know better but he already sent the package. I should have completed and sent the packages myself.. What's done is done , I just have to be ready for the checklist.

Hello everyone, and good day to all. I just went through Saylin's guide to the NVC but still had a question. I received my first correspondence from the NVC today. Now i have to pay the AOS fee of $88. However neither me or my wife has a US bank account. So in order to pay online, can my father in law pay on my behalf using his bank details?

Yes:)
