Oh no I actually meant my signature on VJ. We will be doing EP but I don't think it takes much longer than snail mail. It's fine for me to wait for ENROLL email confirmation because my husband's and joint-sponsors AOS package is not complete yet. I don't want to rush them and I really have no control over when they give me their documents anyways. Just trying to stay calm throughout this process lol

Thank you so much for the information, I'll be giving them both our e-mails then :). Oh I know the feeling of trying to stay calm, it's why I'm asking so many darn questions I want to not be clueless so when the time comes I can take it with calmness if I can even use that word. ;) hahaa ty. (F)

I do have a question on transcript Total income,

My question is : for MFJ one spouse(in usa) hase X amount of income and other has 0 income(living in foreign),

when I check the transcript it gives the total income as X amount, but how would NVC know that this X amount income is from SPONSORING SPOUSE?

Submit your W2s so they can see your individual income.

Have you looked on the reciprocity table on the NVC website?

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/documents-to-submit-to-nvc.html

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html

finally

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/SN.html#docs

Everyone who has lived in more than one country can look up the country's requirements to obtain police certificates or any other documents needed from the reciprocity table.

THIS IS IN THE WIKI!!!!!! READ THE WIKI!!!!

thanks you fro all of the answer about going back to country to accompany my parents.

yes. my country is Myanmar.

they are some risk in my country to get visa . so i better go . but i will contact embassy first to get permission . thanks for the info about that too.

today i got civil doc from my parents.

my mom born in HMAWBY ( i believe you guys will not knows).

in her passport it said place of birth HMAWBY.

of course in birth certificate, it is in our native language.

so my mom got her lawyer to translate in english. and the lawyer( notary same in my country) spelled HMAWBI.

i don't have lawyer for my case and there are really really few people to know my language .

so i can't translate in here again

unfortunately.

my mom can't translate again until next 2 week because we have our country new year and all the gov office including office close for 10 days.

so i am so depress that my case going to be delay because of that HMAWBI instead of HMAWBY.

so i am thinking i will send that wrong translation and making a statement that they both are the same city because we don't have standard english translation on our city name.

would that be good?

any idea please.

sorry for long letter.

thanks a millions.

Koekoe, I'm not sure any of us can say what NVC will do with this. I, myself, would have no problems with it, but unfortunately, it will probably depend upon the person who reviews your file. As far as your sending a letter with an explanation, that sounds like a good idea to me. But you might also wish to wait to see if the file gets through without any problems without your letter - but have the letter ready to send.

I do not think (my opinion only) it will be a problem at the Consulate in Myanmar, as the people there will have full understanding of your written language and how it is translated into Roman characters.

The only problem I see with sending a letter with your packet is that someone may then force you to get a "corrected" translation to match the birth certificate. But if you DON'T send a letter and they discover the discrepancy, then you would get a checklist.

Just to let you know - in my case, I was born in Germany, and I have always written the state of my birth as "Rheinland-Pfalz", which is, of course, the German. This is how I typed it into my AOS form. I found out that this is usually translated into English as "Rhineland-Palatinate". I'm not going to worry about it, as the person who is reviewing my file won't know the difference!!!!!

Best of luck to you and your parents.

Oh but it can be so beautiful in winter.... (or miserable depending on WHERE you are.... I suggest staying away from the land of flat (Alberta) and the land of flatter (Sask) in winter. And staying away from Manitoba anytime there is flooding (spring) or insects (pretty much any time but winter.)

Well, it might be pretty, but I still hate snow and the cold. No matter where I am

Only for a Massachusetts native would spring break in Montreal sound like a good idea, lol. Last time I was there, the friend I was visiting brought me to Juliette et Chocolat... it's worth the cold and the snow if I get to have hot chocolate like that ^_^

Oooo, that sounds good!

so... I am even more irritated than before... I just received the tracking number from the lawyer ( FINALLY) only to find out they sent out the package before they got my email about the corrections. ( sent Wednesday from Philadelphia and received at the NVC this afternoon) I begged them to send it out... but they sent it out WRONG ! So not only is it missing the signature but it contains the wrong amount for the 1040. Ok, so maybe I am over reacting... BUT I am sooooo pissed off right now.

Then I get another email saying we need to talk, he wants us to be happy with this process.

Honestly ... I should be running around a track somewhere to try and calm down. I don't even know what to tell my husband now. He is already pissed.

thank you for this. and i am sorry if i had to ask.

You're welcome.

I guess when you've been here as long as I have, (and since I spend most if not all of my free time in winter on the computer instead of in the gym like I should) and see the same question over and over again... it does get annoying. I made it big and bold so everyone would know that they can look up this item in the wiki. :D

Searching is your friend IMHO. :D Everyone learns better by doing it themselves.

I guess you take the guy's advice and do the NVC process yourself. I would send the NVC a new I-864 form, corrected to what you feel should be there, and ask for a supervisor to track it down once it arrives instead of issuing a checklist on the basis that your lawyer's paralegals can't seem to do their job correctly.

Last I looked you didn't need a lawyer for the waiver either (there is another forum that is specific to DIY waivers.)

Sorry again if I had to ask. I just want to know if anyone has been through to the same situation as me and would like to give me some information on how they obtain the COC. Sorry if you are annoyed. But thank you too for the info.

No, it remains "At NVC" until it goes to the embassy. The only notification you get is by email about a week after your case is complete.

Thanks!!
