thanks you fro all of the answer about going back to country to accompany my parents.

yes. my country is Myanmar.

they are some risk in my country to get visa . so i better go . but i will contact embassy first to get permission . thanks for the info about that too.

today i got civil doc from my parents.

my mom born in HMAWBY ( i believe you guys will not knows).

in her passport it said place of birth HMAWBY.

of course in birth certificate, it is in our native language.

so my mom got her lawyer to translate in english. and the lawyer( notary same in my country) spelled HMAWBI.

i don't have lawyer for my case and there are really really few people to know my language .

so i can't translate in here again

unfortunately.

my mom can't translate again until next 2 week because we have our country new year and all the gov office including office close for 10 days.

so i am so depress that my case going to be delay because of that HMAWBI instead of HMAWBY.

so i am thinking i will send that wrong translation and making a statement that they both are the same city because we don't have standard english translation on our city name.

would that be good?

any idea please.

sorry for long letter.

thanks a millions.

Looking for opinions.. Apparently my lawyer is mad because I asked them to hurry and submit our packages... Below is the email I received at 11am today. He is blaming me now... I am on hold with NVC to ask if his missing sugnature will cause delays. I signed the AOS appication. There is a spot for his signature on that but I don't know what else he would sign except the cover sheet. My husband is PISSED.

The lawyer is responding to my email this morning asking if the papers were sent yesterday...

It did. However, I feel like you put so much pressure on Dayane that she mailed it out, and she neglected to get my signature on a document. So your wanting to get it out so fast actually worked against you.

I know you read all the websites and you’re on the phone all the time with the NVC. So let me make a proposal. There are two ways to work this:

1) You let us take care of it, realizing that, just like at a Doctor’s office, there are other patients and understand there’ll be a wait for services that’s not too long but probably longer than you’d like. But it will get done at a pace we are comfortable with and can give it our best. Or:

2) You take care of all the consular processing yourself, and we just focus on the waiver. This way, you handle all the consular processing applications and paperwork and you’ve got it in your control, and can move it as fast as you like. That is workable. And the waiver part, which requires a legal argument and a framework, will be handled by us, since we have the most experience and a good track record.

Let me know what is best for you and you feel most comfortable with. And if you have questions, please ask.

Many thanks,

So... You're responsible for their ups? No, I think not. It's not like they haven't had like a year to get this together ahead of time. He would sign the part that asks about the form preparer. If he prepared it and filed out the rest of the stuff, then you will probably get a checklist for that signature. Luckily, all you have to do is sign a copy, have them sign a copy, and resend it after you get the check list (for the coversheet.) And no offense, but it'll probably still be faster, even with you responding to that check list, than just waiting for the NVC to contact you.

If I were you, I'd have them just take care of the waiver, and let you deal with the NVC. They're just slowing you down at this point. And blaming you for their screw up is 100% ridiculous.

Thank You Rose and Mike...Sawadee Khrap...We are always talking about what life will be like in the USA as compared to

Thailand. The biggest challenge right away will be food. There its available on every corner of every street in the whole country.

The night markets are our favorite stop each evening, we hop on the motorbike and cruise around town for a little bit

then stop by the market for fresh food and unique dishes already prepared at crazy low prices.

Its all about the flavors, the spices, the sauces and the fresh ingredients

My friend Bee prepared this dish

food.jpg

Changnoi, I am sure I am going to miss Thai food, my husband likes Thai food. He always enjoyed the food here. My husband said exactly the same thing as what you said here. Well my friend goodluck to our journey here, hope we get our case complete soon.

Salylin, I hate to bother you as this seems so trivial, but is there any chance you could check my file on DHL tracking for my case going from NVC to london embassy on 9th/10th April . Have tried to do it myself but it just won't let me put the dates in, I think I need to register with DHL to be able to do this. I ask as you did it for me when my 129 was transferred to London. Have checked CEAC and it's still saying ' IN Transit ' . Thought they would have got it this morning as it took 2 days for the 129. I just wanted to know before the weekend. Hope the new job is going well and they're treating you well. Thanks in advance.

It OK! File received today, CEAC says READY. Please God they'll schedule an interview soon.

Congartilations !!!! I bet its a big relief :)

Big relief, indeed! Waiting everyday if there will be another checklist or a case complete. I was checking your timeline and our date of respond to the checklist when NVC received is similar. Ours was received on the 28th and yours was on the 26th. I'm sure you'll get CC soon too. Good luck!

Yea, there is steam coming out of my ears right now !!!

Talked to a nice guy at the NVC. He said, it is possible that they could checklsit for the signature BUT he has never seen a checklist for that reason. ( a glimmer of hope) He said that sometimes if there is a correction needed on the AOS, they will just update it at the interview. So I am hoping it is only the dumb signature on the AOS. I hope they corrected the adjusted gross income and replaced it with the total income. Seems to me the lawyer is mad that I am reading up on the process. I was right on the income number. Don't you just love how they try to blame me for their mistake....??? really??. is that what $3300. buys these days???

Thanks Saylin, you're a gem. Just checked CEAC and it's changed READY. I need to learn patience.

Yay! Case number assigned today! I just called at 9pm I knew they had it when they immediately asked for beneficiaries name and DOB and petitioners name.

I gave them our email addresses. They also gave me the IIN and beneficiary number which he said is used down the line. I don't know what that is for lol but I'm super excited right now! :)

Congrats! An exciting moment, as if the train is finally leaving the station toward the final destination:)

What is IV documents? So you didn't have to send anything? It's all so confusing.

Add page one of this thread or the wiki from Saylin, and/or any other relevant information to your 'favorites' bar and read/reread:) Everyone has to send in IV documents.

Could any one tell me the exact steps after NVC assigned the Case Number.

and what is purpose for DS 261?

As recommended above, read Saylin's wiki and other links in post 1 of this thread. The 261 is a choice of agent form. The steps after a case number are outlined well in the wiki:)

LOOOOOOOL

Case # and IIN assigned yesterday but still can't do anything in the system yet!

I can't wait to get started!

How long do we have to wait for DS261 to be available?

It took about 2 days I think, for ours to become available. It's in my signature:)

I finally got the case number on April 9 :)

When Fargo qualifies as big, :wow: Hehe! I'm glad you're liking your new home. Hopefully with more people around and more to do you'll get chummy with some locals :luv:

Well, in the midwest, ~100k people is sadly big  Nothing compared to my hometown of Montreal with like 4 million people though :jest:

And I hope so, but I'm not a social butterfly like my husband who talks with everyone and then adds them almost immediately to Facebook :bonk:

:D

I've been in CR for almost three years and I'm just now starting to get a tight group of friends. Of course it's right when we're leaving!!

If I lived in Fargo, I'd be friends with you! I'd buy you a drink or four. And if you don't drink then I'd buy you cake. :goofy:

Aww :luv: If only you were coming here!

And I don't drink much, but I will take sweets :D :D
