If I may ask, so you take a picture of your and husbands/wife's signature and use it for electronic purposes? I heard it's better to send it snail mail that it's quicker right now is this true? Thank you. :)

Oh no I actually meant my signature on VJ. We will be doing EP but I don't think it takes much longer than snail mail. It's fine for me to wait for ENROLL email confirmation because my husband's and joint-sponsors AOS package is not complete yet. I don't want to rush them and I really have no control over when they give me their documents anyways. Just trying to stay calm throughout this process lol

I've seen recommendations on VJ to only refer to it as the invoice identification number when speaking to NVC, that's probably exactly why!

When I asked for the IIN the operator said 'you mean the invoice number' me: yepp that's the one lol

We have the exact dates EXCEPT the April 1.

We sent out our response to the checklist (AOS) March 26, NVC acknowledged receipt on March 28 too. My wife didn't call NVC after that we decided to wait out more than 12 days (too frustrated to call lol)

Call, who knows since we both got the same dates. I'm sure yours is just around the corner too. Good luck!

Congrats on your Case complete :)

How did you know that NVC received your checklist response on March 28th? Is it by your tracking number or you called NVC?

I believe there are other age-specific or situation-specific or country-specific questions as well. On my spouse's DS-260, she did not get asked about membership in "professional organizations" - even though she had been a member of two professional nursing organizations. My attorney suspects that because my spouse is now retired, that question didn't pop up.

It's a continuing mystery - this USCIS and NVC stuff....

Sukie

Good points as well! USCIS and NVC sure are a mystery. For example, my daughter may be 13 but that still did not prevent NVC from asking if she was involved in money laundering, human trafficking, or if she was a member of the communist party.

There isn't a federal holiday for Easter, so NVC doesn't get any time off. Their next paid day is Memorial Day at the end of May.
