My guess is yes. I was not able to call the NVC until after my case was actually there. So when I gave the receipt # they could tell it arrived but no case number. Give it about two weeks and call again to see if the nvc at least has the case. You can check my timeline but it went

To God is the glory! I just got an email from NVC and my case is completed and awaiting for an interview date :dancing:. I am so happy, thanks to all the VJ members who share their knowledge. Thank you Saylin and DWheels76. My AOS package was entered in their system on 03/26, wow i cannot not believe it, no doubt that GOD answer our prayers.

Beneficiary - Applying for CR1/IR1 (but also played the K3 card prior to understanding it may be phased out.)

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

April 24 - IV scanned into their system.

May 2 - False checklist for IV documents= AOS approval.

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

- Supervisor review initiated.

May 14 - Checklist for Police certificate came via email.

- Sent checklisted documentation priority post!

May 15 - Package delivered per mail tracking.

May 19 - Case COMPLETE!! Police certificate found by NVC:)

May 28 - Case complete email arrived.

May 30 - Assigned Interview date!

June 2 - Interview letter arrived via email.

June 11- Medical appointment Surrey, BC

July 8 - Interview in Montreal!! APPROVED!!!!!!!! July 10 - Visa package and passport in hand!! July 23 - POE!!

yes skype is a godsend! hubsters and i are on it for hours at least twice a day. We play scrabble online too while on skype using this: http://www.isc.ro

He usually beats me! hah, it is a fun way to spend time together. :) Of course not as fun as actually being in same place! Almost there though, we are sure hoping we get him over for our 1 year anniversary July 7th.

How many ppl here approved at CSC and how many days did it take to arrive at NVC?

From CSC it took a week to arrive at NVC. You can look at my signature.

Twice a day? For hours?? I'm so jealous!!! My husband and I can only make Saturday morning (Malaysian Time) which is Friday night in the US where he is. And that too only for a couple of hours. Our schedules never line up :cry: Being on opposite ends of the earth totally sucks!!

My husband and I only have a 5 hour difference and can only Skype on Sundays. But we talk everyday on the phone on Viber. Soon it will be over :)

Some cases take up to 30 days to be received. I would bet it is sitting out on a loading dock and just hasn't been scanned in yet.

When TSC sent me the text saying the shipped my file.. I was very sceptical because it took 11 months for the USCIS to approve my case, but TSC did actually send it when they said they did and it was received only 11 days later. I think it all depends when you get approved and when they pack up the boxes to be shipped. I'm not sure if they ship files to NVC weekly, bi-weekly or if there even is a schedule. It will get there. Don't worry !! I know they ship them DHL. And the NVC receives mail all day long... so you can call 3 times a day and you might catch the file.

The day found out my file was received, I called in the early morning and it wasn't there yet. When I called back at lunch time it had been received. The next morning I had case numbers that were assigned the night before. Who knows.. maybe they work all night

I have seen some cases being received in 30 days but it is 35 days since USCIS says they shipped the file and NVC says they have not received it. What I suspect is file is still at Nebraska. When I last checked Saylin's spreadsheet I saw even cases approved up to 10th of March from Nebraska had reached NVC before March ended. If the later approvals got there, where is my case then?

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
10/20/2014: Medical appointment.

11/07/2014: Interview.

11/29/2014: POE JFK.

Yay! Case number assigned today! I just called at 9pm I knew they had it when they immediately asked for beneficiaries name and DOB and petitioners name.

I gave them our email addresses. They also gave me the IIN and beneficiary number which he said is used down the line. I don't know what that is for lol but I'm super excited right now! :)

With my job role I have the opportunity to talk to my wife all day on skype and viber. and when it's not convenient for any of us we use whatsapp to text each other... I am thankful for these technologies.

I thought it was ready two days after the interview? Is the not correct?

Depends. It could be. It could take a great deal of time longer. You should inquire regionally the average time for someone to get their visa back.

For instance, in Canada you could get it back the next day OR it could take a month or more. You just don't know. Plus you don't know if there will be a 221g or an approval. That's why the VJ community doesn't recommend people book airfare or travel plans until after they have the visa in hand.

I didn't obey the rules and was fortunate, but I could have easily been up a creek without a paddle, asking for my job back and trying to sign a new lease.

IV Fee was invoiced this afternoon and there was no triangle next to it. Shocked it happened 3 days after paying AOS and completing DS-261.
