i really appreciated your post. being a christian myself, I am also questioning whats going on? why the delay is... is it something that I did wrong or what is it... :/ I know i shouldn't waiver in my faith either... sigh.

We are lifted above the earthly carnal realm.

So my husband called USCIS Tuesday and they said they sent the case to NVC. NVC says they didn't receive the case as of April 9. Husband called USCIS again informing them of same. The IO told him they mailed off the case long back and if by Friday the case is not received by USCIS, then put in a complaint on Monday. NVC says the case must have been misplaced and write an e-mail to them.

Congratulations Kaylara.

Some cases take up to 30 days to be received. I would bet it is sitting out on a loading dock and just hasn't been scanned in yet.

When TSC sent me the text saying the shipped my file.. I was very sceptical because it took 11 months for the USCIS to approve my case, but TSC did actually send it when they said they did and it was received only 11 days later. I think it all depends when you get approved and when they pack up the boxes to be shipped. I'm not sure if they ship files to NVC weekly, bi-weekly or if there even is a schedule. It will get there. Don't worry !! I know they ship them DHL. And the NVC receives mail all day long... so you can call 3 times a day and you might catch the file.

The day found out my file was received, I called in the early morning and it wasn't there yet. When I called back at lunch time it had been received. The next morning I had case numbers that were assigned the night before. Who knows.. maybe they work all night

Hello,

I am still waiting for my I-130 to be approved, but I am trying to be pro-active and get all the paperwork for IV and AOS package ready.

I am the beneficiary and will be going through Montreal consulate as I am in Canada, if and when my paperwork moves along. I did read Saylin amazing info on the NVC process for montreal. I have two questions about the AOS package and IV packages.

1) I checked that it is NOT NECESSARY TO DO ELECTRONIC PROCESSING (EP) yet. You can choose to do it. Has it changed to becoming mandatory for beneficiaries applying through Canada? If not and you can still choose to do paper-application, is the EP faster/slower/or doesn't make a difference in processing time through NVC?

2) So i lived in the USA for a number of years before coming back to Canada. Do I need to get a PCC (police clearance certificate/ FBI) from USA?? My guess is NO, but I am trying to find it out. Or do i need to get the PCC from all other countries and not from USA?

I hope someone can answer these questions.

Thanks

N

1) EP is not required for Canada. Currently it's slowing a few people down because you have to wait for the EP acceptance letter before you can send packages via EP. I preferred it because I was able to keep a hold of my originals and present them at interview vs sending them through the mail or a courier. So it saved me money (shipping costs) and time (shipping as well.) Up to you at this point.

2) you do not need to get a PCC from the USA. They do their own checks within their own system.

Hi everyone!

I got an e-mail saying that my case was shipped to the NVC on April 8th. I am wondering when I should start calling them to see if they recieved it and about my case #? Also, how long does it take to get someone on the phone?

ALSO, I am wondering about getting everything ready for my I-864. I submitted my taxes for 2013, but I don't think the transcripts are available yet. How should I start preparing that form then? Also, I have heard that they want the numbers to be very, very exact, even if you have a joint-sponsor and everything...has anyone encountered issues with this?

Thanks so much for any feedback!!

Ok so when i click dont have vaccination record why does it ask for an explanation? What should i write? Im clumsy?

the question was asked before and the answer given was:

it does not really matter since the beneficiary will have all the vaccinations done during the medical.

if you prefer to answer "No", then for the explanation just put that vaccinations will be completed during medical exam.

it is not a show stopper

Yes they will review it.

Great, because I sent an email this morning at 7am and the paralegal just read it so I am not counting on my papers going out today. I just hope the process continues even without the docs.
