So, if we haven't received ENROLL acceptance yet from NVC, then we probably WON"T even get an auto reply when emailing AOS or IV?? But if we do have acceptance then we should receive an auto reply??

I dont think it has to do with the ENROLL acceptance - it is just an autoreply that is generated when an email gets to their inbox. Its a way of knowing that your email went through It is generic - this is the response I got immediately after each email I send NVC - the ENROLL, AOS, IV documents

"Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your recent inquiry to the National Visa Center (NVC). This e-mail is an auto response. Please do not respond.

We review and reply to e-mails in the order they are received. "

I got the actual confirmation for the ENROLL 20 days after sending it in and then the AOS confirmation 17 days after I sent it.

When you submit documents electronically there should be an auto response that is sent right away. If you did not get an email right after sending in the documents, I would send them again.

For me the the actual confirmation email that the I-864 documents were received/in the system was 17 days after I emailed them to NVC.

Hi Gwenstar,

Thanks for your suggestion.

We resent the IV DS 260 Support documents email this morning but did not get an automated response.

We sent these documents to the email address: NVCElectronic@state.gov

What should we do if we do not get an automated response?

Regards

Well, the petitioner never called the USCIS while our case sat there for 1 year and he only made a call to NVC once to ask whether the case was received by them, that's it. I had been bugging him to call the NVC to find out whether or not the case was received but for the past three days working days he slept through a 7:00 a.m. alarm and kept saying he would call tomorrow. The tomorrow never came and I convinced him to set up a Skype account for me today. I am not counting much on him calling USCIS.

I'm sorry to hear that :(It's great you have Skype set up now, at least NVC will be happy to take your calls! Don't panic about your case just yet. You're on the longer end of normal for a case to be received, but not so far out of whack that something is definitely wrong. Hang in there!

I can't begin to tell you what a relief it is to be past the uscis stage! (Because you already know) Mostly, right now, it's the fact that I am now, as the beneficiary, allowed to talk to the people that answer the phone at NVC! They didn't have any actual information for me yet; NVC has not received our file. But still, the guy talked to me! And was very nice!

Feeling the same here, talked to a very nice lady at NVC just today, but even though the USCIS stage has passed, the fact that my file has not yet been received by NVC has got me worried.

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."

I think they will all quote the standard 30 business days but honestly looking at the trend of the way that they have been cranking out approvals for documents submitted, I think that you will hear something before then. Its good news if London is still scheduling interviews too for this month.

Thank you for your kind words. do you or anyone reading this post, think that its a far stretched idea for a case complete this week? Anyone?

Take a look at Saylin's spreadsheet. It'll give you a sense for how long you'll have to wait between NOA2 and submitting your IV documents, so you can plan accordingly for anything with an expiration date.

Hi Gwenstar,

Thanks for your suggestion.

We resent the IV DS 260 Support documents email this morning but did not get an automated response.

We sent these documents to the email address: NVCElectronic@state.gov

What should we do if we do not get an automated response?

Regards

I don't know the answer to that question? I know if you call NVC they will tell you that they can only tell you once something is entered into the system.

Hopefully someone else has a suggestion??

Are you sending the documents from the emial you registered on your DS-261? If you registered a secondary email address on the DS-261, maybe trying sending it from that account?

This is the response I got immediately after each email I send NVC - the ENROLL, AOS, IV supporting documents. It is how I knew they got the email I sent because when their inbox receives an email it generates this automatic response.

"Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your recent inquiry to the National Visa Center (NVC). This e-mail is an auto response. Please do not respond.

We review and reply to e-mails in the order they are received. ".

It is never too soon to gather all the documents and have them ready to be shipped. Get all of your documents translated and ready even your marriage certificate, so that when it's time to send your IV package you have that all ready to go. Saylin has a good link on what documents are required on her signature, that will save you a lot of time and headache later on... Good luck!

I got the actual confirmation for the ENROLL 20 days after sending it in and then the AOS confirmation 17 days after I sent it.

Ok that's the same one I received for the ENROLL email. Wow. 20 days to get ENROLL acceptance.. seriously. I thought EP was supposed to be faster. I don't want to do EP anymore. Faster to mail it in. It's been a week since I emailed ENROLL, and I can send in the AOS and IV now, but because of ENROLL I may have to wait 2 more weeks. This is ridiculous.

So 2-3 weeks for them to accept ENROLL, another 2-3 weeks to accept AOS and IV, and up to 30 days to review AOS and IV. Geez that's another 2 months waiting for case complete. And that's without any checklists. We could have shaved 2-3 weeks off that wait time by NOT doing EP.

You don't have to wait to get the enroll confirmation before emailing in documents. I did't and had no problem at all. Besides, logically, if you think about it....they are processing the emails in order, your enroll will be confirmed before they even get to the other documents you are emailing in. I emailed in the AOS and IV documents as soon as I paid each fee.

Personally from what I have seen, the EP and non EP journey with NVC is not too much different. The nice thing with mailing is that you have a delivery confirmation that it made it to the building. With EP, you just get the immediate auto response. Anyhow, once you have elected for EP you have stick with EP for the whole process.

Don't let it get ya down! Once you can pay your AOS/IV fees, you can email the documents. :)
