Hey STACY&MISHO, I just looked at your timeline, howcome you dont have a case complete yet? Did you call NVC lately ?

We got a checklist for hubby's divorce decree. They said the stamp was to light. Needed a new one. We responded to the checklist on 4-2. Waiting now for case complete. Thanks for asking! :)

Got one checklist for AOS. waiting for another one. I know I will get it becuase it was such a stupid mistake on the the I-864EZ. Well jsut waiting to get email from NVC for the second checklist (for the other case).

01/28/2014: Email Update/Txt Received for Approval

MY DS260 is available YAY ! ! ! ! I just want to go home now and call my husband to complete it and submit. I CAN'T CONCENTRATE AT WORK TODAY !!!!

NVC said I do NOT need my divorce decrees in the IV package. I forwarded the message to the lawyers office since they are too busy to answer my call. Why is it that I know more than they do and it is their profession????? We should all work for immigration lawyers.

I think lawyers are more trouble than they're worth unless you have a really unique situation.

Hi there,

I have similar situation. NVC gave me case number for Moscow Russia, but I am Ukrainian and live in Ukraine. I did sent them e-mail requesting to correct theirs mistake. One rep told me to wait for new case number before doing anything. I am going to call NVC today again and talk to another rep, because everybody there give different answers all the time. Why do I have to wait 30-40 days for theirs mistake. It is BS :ranting:

I know that some VJ members( after talking to them) who's case number got changed, because theirs loved ones moved, were able to do DS-261 and AOS using old case #. If I find out something else I will let you know.

I am in the exactly same situation I remember writing my permanent address to be in Pakistan but they still gave me a case number which starts from RID which means Saudi Arabian Embassy and I am not even ad citizen over there I was just there for a visit! Well i called them we have paid both the fee and have submitted AOS that's all fine just dont submit the civil documents as yet because one rep told me that u shud wait before submitting civil documentscor else if the case gets completed before the email gets replied to we might have a longer delay. Keep me ipdated on your situation also plz!

Just got off the phone with Agent Lisa, who really must be the happiest NVC agent I've ever spoken to. No updates on my case, but she did tell me that they've been having massive phone problems the past several days. I told her about the lack of hold music, the "I can't get no Satisfaction" hold music, and that the office was closed yesterday afternoon and she confirmed that the phone system went down entirely at that time.

Hold on. So the previous comment about the new hold music was not a joke??

Hello everyone I have a question. I made $ 18,385 last year, but this year I am expected to make $24,000 for this current year. Would I need a joint sponsor ? Or do U think I will be fine with providing paystubs and a employee letter ? For the AOS. Any advice will be helpful

Wow.. AOS from In process to Paid in 2 days? I swear..NVC is moving fast on purpose.. its because I wont be able to send AOS package for another week.. :bonk:

As long as you are above the 125% poverty limit, you should be fine

OMG! Just got an email from London embassy telling me that as I have an approved I 130 they have requested my file from the NVC and an appointment for an immigrant visa interview will scheduled once the case has been received and processed. I was also asked to submit the ds 260 and advise them when it has been done. So I'm back on the cr1 path!

OMG! I'm really sorry to hear that! you guys were so close!

But I hope things will go faster since half of the process is already done!

It will be good if NVC actually send the I-130 to the embassy for teh rest of the process!

It could be still a good thing!
