CanGirl do we download DS-206 and DS-230? Me confused. :D No really I'm confused.

DS-260* is the online form, you can't download it. I'm just suggesting to download DS-230 (this is the old version of the DS-260, before it was electronic). It can also help you prepare for the DS-260 so that you have all your answers ready to go.

I decided to work this weekend so that the time goes faster!

I volunteered for Saturday but I'm thinking about working Sunday also!

Rather than sitting in front of a PC all day long waiting for IV fee to be payable (I got the yellow triangle last night after 07:30PM).

The weather is goeargous today! may be a nice walk in the park after work to complete the day!!!

What does the yellow triangle look like? :energy:

Thanks bkghosh... fingers crossed, don't want to have a checklist.

Just thinking if i shud inform my employer when i get interview date and resign also. As i need to serve 2 mnths notice when i resign, can't wait this much long time when i have already visa in hand.

This is exactly the situation with my wife. However, my advise to her (and you) would be to not make any such irreversible plans, until you have the passport back in your hand (with the visa stamp). You can never tell what the CO will decide to do. People go into AP sometimes for very long time. So do not quit, and do not purchase a non-refundable tkt. You can start packing the bags, though. :)Meanwhile your spouse can visit (I know I am planning to). Also, there is always Skype.... :) :)

I just received a false checklist for IV packet that was submitted on March 27. I guess they are slowly getting around to things. Also I just saw another signature that shows someone getting a case complete who submitted their I130 in July! hah, so dont loose hope people, I submitted mine in April, no rhyme or reason to the process but it seems to be coming along.

CAREFUL PEOPLE!!!!

The purpose of this upload was to assist you by giving you a preview of the online DS-260 that would aid in your preparation

and familiarity with the document. In addition it was to make it easy to fill out the missing Education and Work History to print out

for those people that are missing that from their online DS-260. It was never intended for submission. Just found it online and

thought it would serve a limited purpose :)

I have plenty of cat toys just sitting there but mine love a wad of paper hahahaaaa and card board boxes. Oh wait try eBay first better prices

by far for the price of this one you can buy three. They are all pretty much under $87 and free shipping and handling. :secret:

Ohh, didn't think about using eBay! And wow, with that link you gave, right near the top is one of the cat trees I was looking at on Amazon, but it's like $40 cheaper  Thank you!

Sooooooo, I called NVC at 10:00pm, was on hold for 27 minutes. I spoke to Lee and she told me CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay, huge congrats!!

And aww, more than happy to help! ^_^

To everyone that is getting the "shorter version" of the DS-260 with no prior education and employment sections. Might I suggest that you download the form DS-230, complete and print it out for the interview. I read in Saylin's blog that she completed a DS-230 and they asked for it at the interview.

Keep in mind, that was back in 2011. Montreal wasn't used to the online system, thus asking everyone for DS-230s. But, after a few months, they finally got it together and are no longer requiring that. It's still of course a good idea to have, but I highly doubt you'll be asked for it, no matter what "version" of the DS-260 you get.

Whoa! Dimensions: 18 x 70 x 106 inches ; 68 pounds  You know the cat would look at it once and go curl up in the box it came in...

I know, the thing is HUGE. When I was browsing on Amazon, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. It's basically two cat trees in one!

And yes, knowing my luck, I'd spend all that money on the tree and the cat will just curl up in the box or a corner  But alas, I don't have to concern myself with that as that cat tree is way too expensive for me. I'll be choosing one much cheaper :P

You can start packing the bags, though. :)Meanwhile your spouse can visit (I know I am planning to). Also, there is always Skype.... :) :)

ah!!!! i see, then we guys are in the same boat :) .... Yeah, even USCIS website says the same that don't quit your jobs until you get visa in hand ( i have someone in my personal relation who waited for 11 months in AP, so i can't afford to take such a risk).

But then you know, how it will feel like :) having a visa in hand and you are waiting for 2 months more just for a job that you are quitting nyway (we are already waiting for this day for more than a year now :)), i don't know wot the situation at that time will be, its obvious you can't even work at that time :) :) , will curse my employer then for the whole time :)

My spouse was already with me for 5 mnths (till march), but then went back to US (Spouse resigned from job and came to me and now got a job again there in US), now we can't face this situation again and again.....

Yeah, skype and facetime are like blessings to me from Microsoft and Apple :) :), we are daily spending around 3-4 hours on this and then an hour or so on Amantel.... LOL... :):):):)

But then sometimes i think the case is pretty straight forward, there is no reason for AP....

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy and relieved! I feel so blessed to have found this website. I would have never made it through this process so quickly and easiy ( even with a checklist) without my VJ family. And everyone here truly is like family. We support each other through the good times and bad, we disagree and sometimes even fight with each other but at the end of the day we are still there for each other. (just like family) Thanks Guys!!!

And a very special thanks to Mrs. Saylin! Without you were would any of us be? Your the Godmother of this huge family. :luv:

WOW Congratulations! Finally!!!!

I just got off the phone with the NVC and they gave me the case number. :) But, there's something I'm a little confused about: after I asked for the IIN and received it, the gentleman on the phone asked me if I wanted the Beneficiary Number and I said sure. What exactly is the Beneficiary Number? Is this something I completely missed in Saylin's guide? Thanks!

Beneficiary # is not needed any more.
