Good afternoon VJ'ers

I am the beneficiary of the K1 visa. We've received the NOA1, NOA2, I've booked my medical and we have all of the required documents apart from the I-134 from my fiancee which will be posted shortly and I've also completed the DS-160 online form

I read previously somewhere about submitting documents to the Embassy, however i've not seen anything suggesting that within the London guide

Do i need to submit documents to the Embassy or do you just take the required documents with you to the interview?

Once I've received the I-134 from my fiancee, i'm 99% sure i have everything to complete the Readiness form :)

Thank you

Allan

I was a rebel and completed the Readiness form before I received my I-134 from my fiancee - I trusted her when she said she would post it on the Monday - highly unlikely you would get the interview before the I134 arrived.

Oh and yeah you don't need to post anything to the Embassy - just take all the relevant docs with you. Well that's what I will be doing!

I was planning on doing the exact same thing tonight as I have all her tax returns etc, just not the support letter. Does that need to be mailed or can it be scanned and emailed with her signature?

To be honest I would take the original. Maybe have it scanned and emailed as a backup but there is no way I would risk not taking the original letter. They might not notice but is it really worth the annoyance of them not accepting it and delaying the visa?

Is the support letter in regards to her still supporting your application as you missed the deadline originally set for interview? The i-134 they will be sending you is the affidavit of support, there's no need for a letter saying they will financially support you as well. I think this is what you are referring to as the support letter.

If, like me you missed the deadline, I wrote to the embassy myself and had my fiance also post them a letter stating she still supported my application and we would marry within 90 days of me entering the country (which they had in my file) I also took to my interview another letter from her as they requested it with the extension letter they sent me. This of course they didn't want at the interview.

Anything you are taking I'd make sure it's the original, anything you want back take a photocopy of as well so they check the original and file the copy.

Good point. The original works best. I slept on it last night and completely agree.

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, I was referring to the i134 form. I guess I was getting overly excited/impatient. I'll wait for the original
