Hi! Who's from Philippines here with same situation as mine. I'm a registered nurse from Cebu. I wanted to know what to prepare before flying to USA? A friend told me to bring an NCLEX verification from my school and PRC. But the school asked me to give them a form from the state board of nursing. I did not find a form from the Kentucky BON site. What else do I need to prepare or acquire from PRC or school that is related to my profession? A friend of mine from Ohio, who is also applying for NCLEX, authorized her brother to get her NCLEX verification from our school (we were college classmates), but it was delayed coz she needed a lawyer to sign her authorization letter. She advised me to acquire the NCLEX Verification before I get there. And another, do I need to authenticate my license? Or it depends on the state board? Thank you in advance for any replies!

Good evening.

My wife isn't a nurse but what we prepared was have all her transcripts red ribbon (authenticated) from the DFA. We also had her IBP license authenticated. She didn't have PRC as lawyers in PI are regulated under the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. I'd say get your NCLEX verified as doing it from the states can get pricy, well, I'm talking about the courier i.e. Fedex, dhl. By the way, you can have your PRC license authenticated delivery service BUT it took 5 months for my wife to get hers because when we went to PRC (she's a licensed professor prior to going to law school) she wanted her PRC be in her married name and that's what took it long. PRC is strict when changing from single name to new married name. Process takes time (any process takes time in PI lol). You can still have your PRC authenticated and ask any of your family to send it to US once it arrives at your home address in PI. Just don't forget to leave an authorization letter to receive the PRC card. Some nurses here might chime in, I can only say much about the PRC. Good luck!

hei! I'm not sure if I can help a bit...

If you're still in the philippines better settle your requirements for nclex exam prior to flying in the Usa.It will take time to complete all of your requirements. If situation permits, apply it by yourself then just ask your relative to claim in behalf of you if you really need to fly soon. Yes,you have to provide a request letter from cgfns then you will include it upon applying for License verification in Prc.They won't entertain your request without that letter since it's a agency-agency communication.Same as the academic records, you will submit the request letter to your school( 2-3 weeks process) then either you/school/prc will send the SEALED Envelope to CgfnsYou need to provide high school and college diploma (photocopied) and nso marriage cert if married, and a picture.your first step is to apply for CES/CVS ( credential evalutaion) first before applying a Nclex exam.Hope it will help.Have a nice day

Good luck with your NCLEX.

Kentucky Board will be your guidelines

If requirements are too strict I believe you can apply at almost any state in USA and then transfer license to Kentucky or another state

No work experience needed, my wife from Philippines never sit for her local Nursing board exam. She applied for NCLEX at our state board of nursing and took her about 3 months after that to sit for NCLEX in USA.
