Marriage was always about business - consolidating wealth and power, merging resources

and forging political alliances. Only in the 19th century did "love" enter the equation.

Not always. Many marriages are entered into hoping love will come later. (i seriously doubt these marriages are one of those!)

My point was that it was said that love didn't enter the marriage equation until the 19th century, and I just wanted to say that (in my opinion) in most areas things have progressed a tad since then. So let me say that love SHOULD enter the marriage equation, and the way things were more than 200 years ago aren't necessarily best for today.

Is there a country that can be said to representing true Islam and following true Islamic Law? And who decides this?
