Passport ID photos

Okay, I got the ID photos from my fiance in england, but they aren't the 2x2" size (but they're apparently ID standard size over in the UK). Will it be okay for me to get them enlarged digitally and reprint them or will they reject that?

Also, do I need to send in two photos of each of us, or only one ID photo? I've read both and I'm a bit confused.

Thanks in advance!

I am the petitioner.

If you can print them out at 2x2 inches and have them still look clear, not blurred and not overly pixelated, then sure, do that.

You each need to send in one passport photo for the I-129F.

That'll work but for future info you can get the 2x2" photo's done at some passport photo booths in the UK, photo me ones I believe.

If your fiance can send the original raw copy (file) of the picture via email, it would be better, and you won't have any problem re-printing them in US at 2"x 2". If the soft copy is not available, follow as Jay-Kay advised.

He went to a "photo me" photo booth and they only had one option. It's close to the right size, but rectangular in shape instead of square. I don't think it'll be difficult for a copy shop to do a good scan and fix the size. If it doesn't work, then I get to wait another 2 weeks for him to find a place and send it to me. *sigh* international post takes forever.

No chance of him finding a digital photo shop where he can have his picture taken and get the digital file to be sent via email?

I'll run that by him tonight...I'm gonna head to a copy shop in the next few days, if it doesn't work I'm sure he can do that. I know he wants this thing filed as much as I do lol. (I'm still waiting on his letter of intent to arrive before I go make copies of everything to send in)

We used the same thing for our CR-1. They accepted ours.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

I had a different photo size for our initial petition as well, and had no problems with it (didn't even realize the Canadian and American pictures were a bit different until reading someone else's thread). If you get a chance to redo pictures, it may be helpful for your own peace of mind. If you have a digital copy of your photos, or have access to a decent scanner / printer, you can also use the photo cropping tool provided by US immigration http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/general/photos.html.

For everything else (medical, interview), the 2x2 size is a requirement.

Good luck!

M

I got mine done in the UK at a co-op chemist, they take them with a digital camera and print them to whatever size you want. It's really not that hard to find somewhere in the UK to get US size ones.
