Are uscis staff born rude or is it a gradual process?

Had my biometrics appointment recently and could not actually believe how rude some of the staff are, one woman would only acknowledge thank yous with a grunt and then would bark orders at people and practically shout if they did something wrong after receiving no guidance, another practically threw a clipboard at me and acting like I was the biggest idiot in the world when I told her I was there for biometrics (" well yes obviously as that is what this facility is for..).

Any time I enter the country I'm greeted with some truly miserable faces it's a great welcome

USCIS has a program where all Americans are given a test at age 8 months. If, during that test, the infant shows aptitude for red tape, bureaucracy, and a tendency to see fraud everywhere, then the infant is implanted with a USCIS chip to help mold them into future employees. Once the subject reaches the appropriate age, either after college or before, depending on the job, then they are primed to begin their life's work in the halls of immigration, reading paperwork, people's bank statements, boring affidavits, and tossing aside sexy pics that people send in. The chip has a side effect of irritability.

In reality, those people at biometrics are not USCIS employees. They are subcontractors. I suppose, like any tedious job, it leads to crankiness. If the experience was truly inappropriate, you could always file a complaint. Sorry it happened, but don't let it get you down You could always say something like, "I am sorry I don't know how to do things, I have never been here before." or "I was not aware this facility was only for biometrics."

Haha thanks for that, reminded me of the film divergent I watched last night. That is what I said to the rude lady and she didn't even look at me, eurgh I just hate unnecessary rudeness, you don't have to be mean to be official.

I didn't file a complaint but I did leave a very honest comment card

when hiring they have the applicants try to solve unsolvable puzzles and answer unanswerable questions.......if the applicants get such a bad attitude they scare the person administrating the test they are hired on the spot
