Hi all,

I sent our packet for the I-129F approval. I am thinking this will take a few months.

Is there anything that I should be doing for the next phase? I've read that my fiancee will get a checklist from the consulate in her country. But if something is needed that I can do now, I prefer to do it, so we can be more efficient with sending the required stuff back promptly.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Congratulations for getting it in the mail! Doesn't it feel great to have it on its way?

You are likely to have a wait time of 60-90 days (without any RFE or other delays) so there is nothing to start getting ready this early. Keep researching the next step. Get familiar with the particular requirements and timelines for your consulate. Pull up a chair and have fun with us while you wait. Wishing you a speedy journey! (F)

Congrads..........you are now in the boat with many of us. You can go to forums and under the embassy section look at the Juarez thread. There will be plenty to read to educate you on experiences of other members. I have found this very helpful to me. You can print out many of the forms requred for the inteview in advance and be ready to respond quickly when you are approved. The I-134 will be the biggest one you can start working on that will be needed. Good luck.

Now you wait. After you get your NOA2 you'll need new documents prepared, if you want you can read about it in the Foreign Embassy Forum, and in the guides. But other than that, now you wait.

Congrats on beginning your journey. Now comes the waiting . . . As someone already mentioned read ahead and become familiar with the entire process. Make sure to check out the Juarez thread to read about all of our experiences. There is a group of about 15 of us (but the group continues growing ) all currently going thru the Juarez consulate, so you can get lots of good info. from the thread, it's about 45 pages long (so far) but definately worth your time! Good luck and make sure to join us in the Juarez thread.
