I received an AOS checklist via email from NVC yesterday and I'm just plain frustrated. I paid specific attention with the AOS instructions that came together with the I-864 and it clearly says in the general instructions that if my answer to a specific question is not applicable or none that I should leave the question blank. Well, imagine my surprise that majority of the checklist that required more info are the parts that I purposely left blank since it doesn't apply to my case. Well, anyhow, should I write N/A on all of the parts that doesn't apply to me?

Also, it also asks that I submit the following financial evidence. Does this mean that I have to resubmit everything including tax returns and paystubs?

So, I came across the I-864EZ while searching for forms and I was wondering if there's a way that I can just submit this form instead of the I-864 because I make well above the poverty guidelines. If yes, what do I answer in Part 18. My current individual income? Do I use the adjusted gross income or the amount that is reflected in my W2?

I'd really appreciate some answers from you all.

That's odd - I left a ton of blanks where they didn't apply and I got through with no checklists. It would be nice if there was continuity. In your case, I would pay attention to what they want you to do, put N/A or similar and submit again. Hopefully they will process it again quickly.

I got the same checklist for my I-864A. I leave the questions that are not applicable blank (both I864 & I896A) since it is the instruction in filling out I864 so I assume I864A would be the same. Got the checklist and was asked to re send a new filled up I 864A (put N/A for questions that are not applicable). I called NVC and asked why the checklist, the general instruction is to leave the field blank if the answer is not applicable, and the agent said that US Embassy in Manila are the one's who does not like the form not properly filled.
