My husband has gotten a CR-1 visa that was issued on December 11th on the passport. I am just keen to know when actually does it expire because I will be traveling to Nigeria in May of this year to have us go home together. I heard that he has to travel within 6 months. Is that true? Thus, he has to be in the United States atleast by June 10th of this year since the visa was issued on the 11th of December. All advice is appreciated

Your husband need to travel to the states before the six months expires,

otherwise he might have problem at the P.O.E.

So let him enter the U.S Before the 10th of June 2007.

Wish you and your hobby a happy marriage life.

I filed a k1 for my now husband, and his visa was good for up to 6months also. Im not sure about the CR-1, but I guess it would probably be for the same amount of time. Im sure someone here on VJ that has gone thru the CR-1 process can help you. And if it is for the 6month period, I have to agree with Valentine and say that u just make sure he is on American soil b4 June 11, 2007. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much indeed for the help. My husband has also informed me about the 6 month deadline. I just wanted to make sure if it was the same with everyone else.
