Wrong middle name at biometrics

I thought I might try asking this here, as no one on the AOS forum is being any help at all. I had my biometrics yesterday and she put my middle name in wrong. She used my former middle name before I got married; when I got married I used my previous surname as my middle name and my husband's surname as my new surname, as is common in a lot of places and what all of his family have done here in South Carolina.

I asked the probate judge when I got my marriage license if I need to do anything else to change my name, and she said the marriage certificate is enough and just to make it official by changing my SSN/getting a driver's license. The receptionist at USCIS Charleston had already saved that info by this point, just shrugged and said I can ask about it in my interview. Though I might not even GET an interview, and now the info she typed in for my biometrics and my name on all my other papers is wrong.

I'm completely lost now with no idea how to fix this or if my EAD/GC will come through with the wrong name. Does anyone know what the laws are about name/middle name changes after marriage in SC? All the women in our family have done it through a marriage certificate with no problem, but I also had to sign my marriage license with my MAIDEN name as the probate judge said that is what we must do in SC as that was my legal name at the time. I've e-mailed the county clerk and probate court to query about this already, but they're not open till Monday, and hours of searching the net has not brought up a thing. All the responses I see everywhere are "some states do this, some states do that" but no actual mention of WHICH states do WHAT. I'm pretty pissed to be honest that the receptionist at USCIS Charleston decided to just change my name willy nilly in her system despite my appointment letter having my correct name on, the one I wrote on all my forms, including the form they hand to you in the office. She thought I might need a court order to change my middle name, despite it being directly because of marriage, though she didn't seem sure and told me to just ask people.

In the UK, I know in the worst case scenario I could change it by deed poll, but no idea what goes on here or how it will effect future things. Is this going to cause an issue with my renewal of my UK passport as well in my married name, because the stupid marriage licenses here MAKE you sign in maiden name? >.>
