Hey here is our update. We emailed the embassy last week letting them know that we never received our packet 4, and received an email from embassy wiith his appointment letter this Thursday 1 day before his interview which was yesterday 3/28/14 so there was no time to do his medical. . My fiance attended the interview yesterday morning and was told to do his medical and drop off his passport afterwards that a 2nd interview would not be needed. Im really hoping that means we were approved. I Checked the status and it now says its in AP. What do that mean???

It means until you give the embassy the missing information (The medical ) you will be in AP (Administrative Processing). Once they receive the medical packet and review then they will issue Visa. So I would hurry if I were.

Yeah, be fast to get them the document they need from you, which is the medical certificate. If they get that and it's okay, you will be issued the visa soon.

Good luck in all, the largest part of the task is already done, finish this medicals and that's all. Almost there.....

You are on hold until they receive your medicalpacket. After you pick it up, make sure to take it back to the embassy. Email them and ask do you need an appointment to bring the packet.

My fiance is in a similar situation... the packet from the embassy never arrived so he is now in Accra and has to wait until Wed to pick it up. Is it common to have the interview date so close to when you receive the letter? and is it ok for him to get the medical exam without having the letter from the embassy? He will need to travel back home (13 hours by bus) in order to get the packet I sent him and other documents which he needs to bring to the interview... so we are not sure if he should go home and get the packet of documents and come back to Accra next Wed to pick up the interview letter? or if there will be time for him to travel home and come back after picking up the letter before he has the interview??

thanks so much for your help!!! and good luck to all :)
