Say 12 years.

Takes about 11-13 yrs as of now.

Am I the only one that finds these figures hard to deal with  They might as well not allow siblings to immigrate, whats the point of waiting a life time to move to another country.

I would tend to agree with you, never understood why I should be able to sponsor my Brother. Most Countries I believe do not.

Might be faster if you file for a parent and then have the parent file for the brother.

i have to agree, the length of time on all these processes is ridiculous.

My post is about the I-130 which according to various sources is going to take a total of 10 years, but 22years is a joke, why is this system so slow for everyone.

but this is a world of mass migration now, look at the U.k now over flowing.

There was a bit on the BBC site about mass migration, from the UK.

Because U.S. law limits visa issuance to relatives of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to a total of 480,000 visas annually. While IR (immediate relative) visas are included in this count and visa numbers are always immediately available for qualified IR applicants to use, all other qualifying relatives are assigned visa numbers from the family-sponsored visa allocation that immediate relatives do not use.
