Im just confused, does the processing time based on one's district office or one's Service center? Like we filed our AOS & sent them to the Chicago lockbox, then it was transferred to missouri service center then was transferred to california service center. We live in Baltimore & had my biometrics in baltimore. If i wanted to look for processing times to know if our case is already within their processing time, where should i base everything? should i based it with the california service center processing time or the district office?

California processing time. But, don't take it to heart...those dates aren't always accurate.

Actually the I-485 processing time at the CSC is only for employment-based applications. They still have not added a section with the processing times for family-based applications. Unfortunately, as of this time, there is no date to use as a guideline for CSC AOS transfers.

You mean to say that I-485 is only for employment based applications? Don't they have a different case for employment which is the EAD? I asked this questions because there's a big difference between CSC processing time & my district office processing time,so that make me so clueless if our case is within the processing time.

An I-485 is an application for adjustment of status that can be used to adjust from all different visa types. At CSC they process I-485's for employment-based visas, as well as family-based visas. If you look at the processing date for the I-485 at CSC, you will see that it is for employment-based applications only. They do not list their current processing date for I-485's filed from family-based visas.

The EAD (I-765) is a separate application for an employment document. Those are processed at the National Benefits Center (Missouri).

My point is that you can not go by the date listed for I-485's at CSC nor the date listed for I-485's at your district office. Neither is applicable to your case.
