I'm a student of electrical engeenering in Albanian, Europe. Its been a while since I started talking to an american girl. We really like each other, and we are looking forward to take this kind of relationship to another level. I was hoping to go to the US as a engeenering student, but I can't effort the payment (40.000 dollars for 1 year). I need some advice on what kind of visa should I apply and what do I do to live there after I travel to the US (if I get the visa). God bless u all :)

Since it sounds like you haven't even met yet, I would slow your roll on living in the US.

If you want to visit, you need a visitor's visa. Entering on a visitor visa with the intention of staying and living in the US is fraud and can lead to a ban from the country.

If you want to move here, she needs to apply for either a fiance or spousal visa.

You don't have to pay all fee at same time. you can come here take just one class i.e very minumum fee.

Ask your would be GF to help you little initially. find a job in side campus. if you lucky you will find job outside as well.

once you in that tube you will come out on other end. it won't be easy but when you come out from other end reward will be handsome.

U mean that SHE has to apply for the Fiance visa? And how can she do that, we aren't engaged and we never met before

Yes, she does.

You cannot apply if you've never met.

Look for a university in US that can support a scholarship in your field. Not necessarily in the same state as your girl, but the closer the better. In this case, you would opt for student visa: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/study-exchange.html

All the best! :)

The practical ways to come live in the USA are on a student visa (which you say you cannot afford) or a fiancée k1 visa (you must have met in person face to face first then the USA citizen must apply) or spousal visa (again, must be together and get married) or a work visa (which given the fact you do not seem to have an advanced degree or unique skill it will be difficult and requires sponsorship by a company which are difficult to get) ... Otherwise you can apply for a tourist visa and if granted, you may visit...

I only hope your strong desire to come to the USA will not result in a pressure to marry a USC to accomplish your goal. Too many of these stories here on VJ as it is.

Christen, thanks. So by ur advice, I must apply for a turist visa first and meet her and then come back to Albania. After that, she has to apply for the K1 visa and if I get the visa I can go again to the USA?

Yes... But read the guides for k1 visa so you can familiarize yourself with the process... And remember, once you arrive in the USA you must marry her within 90 days then apply for work permit and greencard...

Slow your roll - that made me laugh :)

As the others advise in this post - if you are not eligible to come to the US on a student or work visa the only other viable options are through tourist, fiancé or spousal visa. The latter 2 options require that you marry the US citizen, either before or after coming to the US. If you are using those visas for purposes other than what they are intended for or if you use a visitor visa to try to move here permanently, it is fraud. Using a visa for fraudulent purposes can result in a ban from the US.

I don't know you or the details of your life and relationship and mean no judgement, but please review the different forums on VJ and evaluate if it is a tourist, fiancé or spousal visa that you want to to pursue.

just to be clear you marry within 90 days after after entering on the K1, not the tourist visa. Get a tourist visa, come meet her, return to your country, file for the k1...then after the k1 is approved you come back to the US and must marry within 90 days of entering on the k1.

study the guides. And I suggest she comes to study the guides, as well. It isn't as easy as it seems,
