TEXTING AS EVIDENCE

Hello!

I have a question regarding the importance of text messages as evidence. I have a good amount of all other aspects of evidence however we do communicate alot via text and I am not sure how I can use them.

All of my fiance's texts that he sends through his Cuban cell phone are rerouted through a Florida number by the service we use and are recordced as a Florida number on my phone bill. I don't really have a way to prove that the Florida number is also his number other than by taking a screen shot of the website that shows both the Cuban and Florida numbers next to his name. Woudl it be worth providing them or would it just confuse them? Will I get the company that we use to text in trouble?? I have always wondered how legal it is, although they advertize openly on Facebook and other social media websites.

Also, the majority of my text messages that I send to him I send from my computer rather than my phone because i have found that he is more likely to recive them. None of these messages do we have evidence of unless I copy and paste them from the website onto a word document - which could be argued as totally irrelevant because I coudl be writing anything in them.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I included a summary page of a few months from my phone bill that showed our texting. Of course the content of the texts could not be reproduced....hence the need for many other forms of evidence.

What I did do is include a summary letter that I titled Evolution of Our Relationship. In it I summarized our relationship, how it began, what we talked about, how we talked, how we came to agree to meet in person, what we talked about once we agreed to pursue the K-1, what we talked and planned for once we obtained our NOA2.

Somewhere in there I described our nearly daily correspondence, many times only via texting...hence the relation to those summary sheets.

All your evidence, when viewed together should paint a picture where a complete stranger, the Embassy CO, should be able to conclude you have a legitimate relationship.

Ok, great! I am including the same timeline of our relationship so I will mention the texting in it as well. I have highlighted everything in my phone bills and am putting a cover sheet on them with a screen shot of the his name affiliated with the Florida number as well as a legend explaining yellow highlights are our phone calls and blue highlights are our text messages.
