Welcome and good luck! There are so many great people and resources here--especially Hank, Harpa and Darnell. As mentioned, spend time going through the guides and old posts--most of the answers to your questions are there, but ask anything and people will answer you very soon. It can be a long frustrating and uncertain process. Hang in there.

There was a few months ago. You may want to do a search using "same sex". Here is a thread I found that may be of interest to you.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/438630-new-forum-for-immigration-based-on-same-sex-marriage/

Also, you may want to start your own thread with your subject line. I am sure you will get a reply if you want something more specific to the Philippines/USA relationships.

ok, here is a weird story....still unfolding???

my Filipino wife had her interview on March 24th. The interviewer questioned my love for her

because I was divorced May 2012. The interviewer stated I did not pay my X any alimony and was

concerned I would not take care of my wife even though I had been sending her money every month

sense July 2013 to support her food needs, electricity and internet connection.

Yes, the Indonesian I divorced got nothing. She was a professional scammer. I found that out later when several other scammed men contacted me that she used. The divorce judge even saw that in her wild request for 50% of everything. well, she didn't want things just a lot of money

The interviewer wanted more proof I would support my wife....like putting her on my house and making her beneficiary. I was going to do that when she got here. I already got her A credit card and

health insurance application. so next day my wife sent 50 more chats

the embassy, as of today has not opened the envelope sent. She did keep my wife's passport and

documents. I am just refused by interviewer's statements. The NVC approved my I-864

Gee Bruce, sorry to hear. If they accepted the 864, why should they be concerned you will not provide. Maybe the interviewer was having a bad day. They did not ask me or her for anything really, did not even take my copies of bank statements and such but that was at the window. They will probably approve of it once the review the new docs.

The I864 being signed and accepted is an open ended financial ruin, for the petitioner that is if the wife runs. Even in death she will be taken care of with your assets.

Welcome to VJ. You should be getting your NOA1 soon based on your timeline. If you filled out your G-1145 form then you will get a text message followed by a email. Then the petitioner will get a hard copy in the mail 7-10 days after that.

Good Luck
