I have just set an appointment for my fiancee's K1 visa for May 16th. The problem is I don't have the physical packet from the Manila embassy although they received it days ago. Is a printout of my visa appointment enough for them to send the documentation to the Manila embassy? Also, the HK clearance is supposed to take one month does anyone have any experience as to how long it REALLY takes? We all know that official timelines aren't always accurate.

We are in the same boat, and they accepted our NVC letter. Akk they want is something with the necessary data on it like Case Number and names.

Can't tell you if the 30 days holds true or not because it has only been 3 weeks so far.

Daviddelene if you would keep us posted on your progress and process . My fiancé also is in hong kong and I wasn't sure if they would let her do the medical and interview in hong kong . She has a daughter living with grandma so not sure how they will work that out .

Yes they will if you either specify it in your I-129(f) petition or ask for a transferal along the way.. Candy and I knew we could do it but decided against it because her family and all of their support are waiting for her in the Phillipines.

I don't think daughter can go separately in Manila but I am not certain. Good possibility you need to get daughter a HK visa and send her there to mom.

You can run it the other way, send your fiance back home to Manila. I understand the employer situation, as Candy's employer will not allow her relatives to even ehter their property for a few minutes. Candy has no children so for us the choice was easier.
