Confusion about NVC letter??

Hello everyone,

We got our NVC letter today and says (THE US EMBASSY OR CONSULATE WILL CONTACT YOUR FIANCE(E) WHEN THEY ARE READY TO PROCESS HIS OR HER PETITION. IN THE MEANTIME, PLEASE HAVE YOUR FIANCE(E) AND HIS OR HER CHILDREN VISIT CEAC.STATE.GOV AND COMPLETE FORM DS-160 TO APPLY FOR K VISA)

Does this mean that I have to go online and fill the D-160 and wait for them to call me? or I to continue and pay online and book an appointment. Because in UAE we have another website where we can log in and pay for the visa and book appointment. This is what happen to me when I applied for visit visa B2.

Appreciate your help and sharing experience regarding this

I got the same letter & was able to pay & book the appointment myself through the ustraveldocs website. I think a lot of consulates do it that way, but some send you an appointment. If you don't get an answer from a UAE filer, you could email the consulate to ask.

April 27, 2016: I-751 mailed

May 2: I-751 received

May ??? NOA1

May 12: Check cashed

May 31: Biometrics appointment scheduled

June 1: Biometrics appointment letter arrives!

June 2: Biometrics walk-in

i don't know if its the same as Saudi Arabia.. but on us we fill out the DS-160 and print the barcode and go other site and print up a deposit slip to pay in samba bank.. and then send all that with my medical etc. to the embassy and after few they they received it. they emailed us for the date of our interview.. Good luck

yes, you need to fill up the DS-160 online it is the new update in their requirement. it will be presented upon entrance at the embassy.

Before they require forms to be submitted and also 2x2 picture. last time i went on an interview (March 2014) they only needed the DS-160 confirmation page (the page with the picture after you fill it out print this) no need for other forms like DS-156 and no need to bring 2x2 picture. just the form DS 160 is enough.

Thanks a lot for everyone for sharing their answers and experience. I will follow exactly what is written in NVC letter and I will fill out the form DS-160 and submit it and wait for the US Embassy to contact me and give me further instructions about medical exam and interview date.
