Going over my form with a fine tooth comb before my fiancee takes it. I printed out the I-864P poverty guidelines a while ago for the I-134. Is this the right one? Just making sure as it says it is for form I-864 and am wondering if I made a mistake and don't have the right poverty guidelines sheet. Also caught that they want all evidence in duplicate and I'm doing it but anyone know why? Also caught that I need to have it notarized. Geez, can you believe someone who has gone throught this process already told me that it is fun!

Here's what it says in the guides: While there are no specific income requirements listed in the I-134 form directions, you will be judged by the same criteria as the I-864 form requirements when they are issueing the visa at the foreign US consulate, so provide financial information for the I-134 with those guidelines in mind.

I've heard different things and it is confusing, but making extra copies is a good idea just in case you need them. I made three copies of my I-134 and had them all notarized. This is so you can have a copy, your fiancee can have a copy, and one can go to the Embassy. That's the only reason I know, except that if you have original documents that you will want back, you should also send copies of them that the Embassy can keep. They will need to see original signatures, not copies.

I also had my employer notarize a couple of copies of the employer letter, but don't know if that's essential.

In the interest of saving a lot of money on postage, I finally decided on sending just one set of everything to my fiancee, and not an extra set for her. I kept one complete set at home. Her interview is in a few days so we'll see if that works! I hope so.

Fun??!!??

Good luck!
