NEW YORK (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie was not involved in a plot to create gridlock near a major bridge in a scheme directed at a mayor, lawyers hired by the administration reported Thursday while also defending the integrity of their internal review amid separate federal and legislative investigations.

This is the stupidest thing I have heard in a long time. Christie pays for an investigation and the investigation finds him not guilty. Well of course, that is what he paid for!

I seriously can't believe the press is covering this story so widely. They've totally been had. What suckers.

So you're telling me that a lawyer is defending the client that retained him? And that is news why?

Rather like the DoJ investigating Eric Holder, really. Only that scandal resulted in the deaths of American Border Patrol personnel.

Yes, because commenting on the actual topic of the OP might cause one with a particular political bend to self incriminate.

Well, if you had quoted the entirety of what I posted, you wouldn't look quite so foolish. <_<

I didn't need to quote your second line to make my point. AG Holder and DOJ have nothing to the do with OP. The challenge for you is to see if you can say anything relevant to the OP without turning it into an opportunity to take a swipe at the political party you happen to dislike.

Again, your willful refusal to comprehend what was written makes you look foolish. My point was that both sides, in their own scandals, have chosen not to pursue independent investigations, Holder with the DoJ and Christie with his friendly legal firm.

Both of them fail to understand that the conclusions drawn by their respective investigations are, to the impartial observer, about as believable as the Easter Bunny.

And no matter how much you'd like to attribute me with a political affiliation, you'll still be wrong. But that's nothing new. ;)

The left must really be terrified of this guy.

Personally, it makes me no difference. I would like to see the GOP nominate someone normal(relatively speaking).

Same here. I think he would be a good GOP nominee. The funny thing is this is really nothing. It's some media generated non-issue Wait until the religious nuts in the Republican Party get a hold of him in the primary. They'll be running commercials of him in a red suit holding a pitchfork with horns growing out of his head.
