Hello vj members, my fiancee sent our k1 package last week and she received by email a notification from the uscis today but not the noa1 receipt yet, i wanted to ask if it is a good sign or what and does this service center they routed the case to it good one or slow office. any openions would be appreacited , this is the message we got today ( Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Texas Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status. This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your case. This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your case remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your case must be verified with USCIS.

It's still too early in the process, but yes it's a good sign. Every case is different as to the processing time.

AOS

AOS EAD/AP sent: July 23rd

AOS EAD/AP received by USCIS( J Ibarra): July 25th

Email and Text Received: July 30th

NOA1 hard copy: August 4th

Biometrics letter received: August 18th

Biometrics appointment: August 29th

Biometrics completed: August 29th

EAD/AP approved: October 3rd

EAD/AP shipped with tracking number: October 9th

EAD/AP received: October 11th

Notice of potential inteview waiver letter received: November 17th

Dated: November 12th

EAD Renewal sent : June 11th

EAD Renewal NOA1 received: June 15th

Welcome letter received: July 2nd Dated: June 26th

It doesnt fake years to get NOA2. Processing time is 5 months.

Yes estimated time is 5 months but It took at least a year for some people (based on my friend's experience and other people here). You should read more about other people experience.

I read diligently. In the last 6 months, k1s petition take longest 180 days to be approved. Last yeAr was slow, but since nov 2013 not so. Average approval time for CSC is 40 days and for TSC its 100 days. Please lets not scare people by telling them that it takes a year for petition to be approved. What might take a year is the visa to be approved. From filing to visa on hand

What i wrote wasn't something to scare people, it was something that people should be ready for, which is the waiting game time. Please don't judge every post that people share on here in a negative way.
