 I want to try them too even though they look revolting. I did try Doritos Locos tacos, that'll be a weird food I can tell my grandkids about.

Maple syrup is disgusting. I refused to eat it as a kid.

But, I recently learned about Grade B maple syrup. That is pretty good.

If I'm hitting fast food for breakfast, much less, TB, we're in the bizarro world. Weren't they sued a few years back for their "beef" having <50% (IIRC closer to 30%) actual cow meat in it?

I think fast food restaurants should be bold and offer an alternative to all beef, like a mixture of beef and soy. Meat with fillers (meatloaf) would do well if they were upfront about it, especially if it were cheaper.

The next logical question would be "what's in it other than beef?", and I think the answer would make a lot of people blanch at the idea of eating it...

It depends on the company's approach. I think it will happen, but probably not by one of the major chains. More likely from true innovators like Chipotle. There is a consumer demand for less meat and if it was disclosed properly and they used ingredients that wouldn't scare anyone (wholesome and safe), they could pull it off. Meat substitutes are already offered at many restaurants. Red Robin, for example, offers a meatless patty. But no one seems to be offering a 'meatloaf' variety. It's only a matter of time.

I agree. Taco Bell should just rebrand its taco meat as soy and beef delight and tell people what's in it. As long as it's not pink slime or other nasties, it's good to go.
