Agreed, the additional paperwork and supporting documents were not bad at all! I'm glad I didn't hire a lawyer. It's good to hear you got such a quick response after your service request! Mine was almost 2 weeks ago. I do have the electronic notices set up. You can imagine how excited I was when we got the text that our alien number had changed. Can wait for the "approved" text!!! LOL

And yes I remember them well.. lol Last night I had a nostalgic moment but found myself laughing at myself and how very seriously I took the timeframes... Now I just focus on seeing him as often as possible and making the best of our interactions.... trusting he will be home with me soon.. We feel pretty blessed to be able to see each other every few months at least.

And I just checked (so you don't expect the wrong thing) the texts doesn't say "approved"

It says Your case ZZZ############ is now updates. Check "My Case Status" at....

That was when they officially "received" our RFE response and marked our case as such.

I actually never got electronic notice of "Approval" literally the letter just showed up in the US Mail one day about 7 days after the RFE Response was marked as received (They approved it 3days after receiving the response). I almost passed out reading the words... and it still took MONTHS afterwards to get our Interview Date... so relax and book a flight.. lol I have seen many other encouraging stories of fast approvals, interviews, and visas... so keep hope and keep faith.. Yours IS on it's way in the perfect timing..

Glad or sad expending on how u look at it, to see others in my shoes. So frustrating to see people getting approved like its going out of style from the CSC. I'm shocked at how slow this process is and how it makes zero sense in HOW they process !

Can't believe you guys have been waiting so long. It gives me no hope to have him here before our baby's first birthday but at least I can think realistically. 4-5 months for the interview in Sabtonfomingo even after the long wait for the NOA2?!?! Dios. K cosa. So basically he will be here in 2015. So I need to plan for our wedding then. What a nightmare.

I haven't received my noa2 yet and I filed July 2013 got transferred to Texas August 2014 and then in march I handed in additional information ti local Uscis office they needed. Now two weeks later still have not heard anything. My fiancé is also from fominican republic. Who knows what will happen next is right. But we have to keep the hope and know that this nightmare will be over soon. Keep me posted please.

Hi guys, my Fiance is also from DR. I'm going on 4 months at the end of this month. Hoping the NOA2 arrives soon. I received my NOA1 Dec. 30, 2013. Its hard to plan a trip to see him again because I don't know when they might approve or schedule and interview. Miss him dearly.

Omg!!!!! That's outrageous!! Have you tried your senator??? I'm writing to mine (chuck Schumer/NY even though the website says they won't respond in 12weeks?!?! WHAT??????? Again such a disgusting way to treat a very important topic! I'm going to look into other avenues to see if they can see why TSC and DR are so delayed. As a citizen I expect more from all the taxes I pay.

It's dreadful isn't it??? I just got back from 10 days together and I think it's even harder. I'm going back in May because our baby needs to see his father. He changes so much every week and this delay is a totally inhumane delay for no apparent reason other than back log but then WHY are they approving march before dealing with older files??? I'm outraged that 2013 cases haven't been completed ! That's awful. It's not a game it's peoples lives. Families. Mental health. Work. Everything is affected.

Hugs to all and keys keep praying they dust off the DR box and give it to someone to process! Sheeeeeeeeesh

i just email my congressmen let see what happens now don't know why they taking so long with these background checks and yes we should expect more with all these taxes we paying just for them to be lazy and doing all day really isn't fair
