Agree, but is the hate actually written in the text of the book ? (not old test) ? Commands to kill those of other religions ? Calling them animal names ? Just wondering.

I think you're missing the point. Words in whatever religious books must be interpreted contextually or you get into trouble. That's pretty much true for all expressions of language.

Exactly. The problem comes into play when you have people interpreting certain teachings in their own way instead of the way it was intended to be interpreted.

Just like how you hear some men saying, women are supposed to submit to their husband. So this gives them the idea all women should be pregnant and in the kitchen.

It is all about how well the person understands what they are reading and being told.

I'm not sure. People tend to forget about the religious sects that preach out of Old Testament only.
