  1. 1. Buddhism, Religion of Peace?

    • No, because there can only be ONE religion of peace.
    • Yes, but Buddhists in Myanmar are different. Myanmar is to Buddhism like Saudi Arabia is to Islam.

Which Buddhist country you have spent time in?

I spent 3 years in Thailand which is 95% Buddhist. Here's a video from a couple days ago of some peace loving Thai Buddhists chasing down and beating up on a monk.

I'm really in the middle on this. I understand the point you are trying to make but you are also close the point of claiming faith by works. I'm just glad that I don't have to decide who is real and who isn't.

I bet you love the book of James.

You can't faith without works. James was righteous on that point as with Janelle.

We have local law enforcement to battle local crime. We have the Pentagon to battle these Muslim radicals all over the world.

Actually, that's more of a local thing in their countries. There are countless threats, muslims aren't the most dangerous.

We need a Pentagon to battle the slave trades around the world, but we had no government willing to really take a stand for it.

We have terrorist Christians for hundreds of years. The Spanish, British, Portuguese

They were baptizing slaves straight off of the ship, into the plantation field or the master's bedroom to be made his concubine #######. Why are these people any better than the Muslim terrorists? They are the same in my book. They both destroyed many lives.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all men generously and without reproach and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind."

Better to quote this in context....

You got it.

I agree. I love the book of James. But again, I'm glad we don't have to make the decision on that.

Sri Lanka has quite the history of violence and attempted ethnic cleansing of a non-Buddhist minority as well.

Please refer to my previous post. The real Buddhist did not practice ethnic cleansing, the pretend Buddhist did.

The Civil War was the government against the Tamil, not the people against the Tamil. Me and my husband lived next to some Tamils in Colombo.

thank you Porterhouse

Yes, this is a person who is trying. Which I have said this before.

I am not referring to people who are trying. I am referring to spineless cowards who hide behind religion.

Big difference.

A bunch of those "Muslim" terror organizations he posted aren't Muslim at all! That is the most beautiful part of this.

Glad you caught that. I wasn't too sure. I just think it's silly how the focus is on us when you got Christians here killing folks left and right.
