UK Police certificate -is this it?

Hi all,

I submitted my form and paid my £10 at my local police station before Christmas and just got what I think is my police certificate through -basically a letter telling me that with reference to my request for subject access that under prosecutions/convictions there is no person record held on my on the police computer.The letter has a blue band at the top and the bottom, is signed and declares it is not a 'certificate of good character'.

Is this the document I need for the K1 interview? Not sure why, I was expecting an actual certificate of some sort...Any advice from those who have gone through th K1 process in the UK is really appreciated!

Yes thats the one you need for your interview, take a copy of it with you and you will get to keep the original.

As Lizzy said. that's the right one.

I had the same problem when I received mine, it looked so insignificant I was sure it wasn't the right thing.

I am not sure whether they are still the same but, when I photocopied mine, it came up with the word 'FRAUD' right across it and was also too big to get both of the 'blue lines' on the copypaper...this was the built-in security feature and I was reluctant to send it to the USCIS, but they accepted it.

Thank you both for the reassurance, I've started to get so paranoid about every little thing! Can't wait for the medical on Friday to be over with...Hope you are both enjoying your new lives in the US!
