Didn't receive my 10yr GC yet, Im going for a weeks' vacation to Mexico. Will i be allowed to enter Mexico with NOA1, expired GC and valid passport

or its better to take a visa..

05/11/2018: Mailed documents I130, I485, I131,I693, NBC for Adjustment of Status

05/16/2018: Received Date/ Priority Date - NOA Received

05/25/2018: Received NOA Bio-metrics for I485 Appt: 06/10/2018

06/10/2018: Bio-metrics are completed

06/12/2018: Received RFE requesting for a Birth Certificate for both parents

07/28/2018: Responded to RFE, sent their non availability of birth certificate copy

08/02/2018: Online status changed to " Request for Evidence was Received"

08/29/2018: Made an info pass appointment requesting for expediting Travel document as parents had to travel India. Expedite request was rejected 

09/14/2018: I131 Parole document was Approved

Just got our approval letter!!!!!!!! Finally!!! This four year nightmare is over!!!!

For those who submitted their RFE response, in my own opinion, if you responded early, you'll have to wait. My RFE was due February 7th, and We didn't rush, respondeding January 9th and we got the letter on January 31st. Unless you really messed up, it's likely your RFE was sent to buy Vermont time since they are so behind. They have until your deadline to start worrying about you. If your deadline has passed, I would contact your local USCIS office. Our letter was delivered from the office less than 5 miles from our house. If it keeps going, you can file a Writ of Mandamus against USCIS siting unreasonable waiting time. But I would recommend waiting and making an info pass appointment first.

@Yurika & Jim - Sure I am! :)

So the big update is that we moved from New Jersey back to to Los Angeles. Yesterday i updated my address in the USCIS change of address page upon which i received a confirmation# that it will be updated by Feb 14th.. which was cool!

Now what sounds not so cool is that i'm expecting an RFE soon in which they would be asking us to send the new lease documents which will further delay the process...

-----Adjustment of Status for both Parents-----------------------------------------------

05/11/2018: Mailed documents I130, I485, I131,I693, NBC for Adjustment of Status

05/16/2018: Received Date/ Priority Date - NOA Received

05/25/2018: Received NOA Bio-metrics for I485 Appt: 06/10/2018

06/10/2018: Bio-metrics are completed

06/12/2018: Received RFE requesting for a Birth Certificate for both parents

07/28/2018: Responded to RFE, sent their non availability of birth certificate copy

08/02/2018: Online status changed to " Request for Evidence was Received"

08/29/2018: Made an info pass appointment requesting for expediting Travel document as parents had to travel India. Expedite request was rejected 

09/14/2018: I131 Parole document was Approved

Hello everyone. I'm really concerned about my GC. I submitted my case in April 2014. Vermont received it on April 29th. For a long time I couldn't check my status online. It had been showing a message that my case was not found. So, I called them up in December. The officer gave me another number. Now, I'm able to check my status online and It's still pending. Is anybody else in the same situation or had the same delays before? I've looked at some cases here and most of the people have already received it. Is it anything to worry about? Thank you for any info!

You can make an info-pass appointment with your local USCIS center to figure out what is going on!

Yep ! im in the same boat as you. I submitted in April, my receipt date is 05/05/14 and case still pending.

These delays are common with VSC. Just keep an eye on your post box and make sure you dont miss any mail from USCIS.

Biometrics current

RFE dated 12/18

RFE mailed 1/20

Approved 2/2 ! ( letter came from the local office)

Card received 2/17/15 !!!!

i recieved approval notice through my lawyer.

it show approved on 1/31/15

no wonder why i havent recieve the letter and online status has not changed yet.

but my lawyer sent me a picture of approval notice letter.

so i belive i got approved finally.

such long waiting and glad it finally finished. :dancing:
