Hi guys,

We tried to do a "e-request", but got the following error:

"Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage."

This is so weird. If the processing time is 6 months for I751 in Vermont and I put 04/21/14 (it was the date we mailed the package) for a date filed, so how is it within processing times?

We waited with patience for six months and now what?

01/28/12 Mailed I-130, I-485, I-102, I-131, I-765
04/18/12 Biometrics done in Philadelphia
05/10/12 RFE response received and under review
06/07/12 Interview is scheduled on 07/10/12 :)
07/11/12 I-130 approved/no word on I-485 :(
07/12/12 5:20 PM received an email I-485 approved!!!!!!!!
07/16/12 Hard copies of I-130 and I-485 approval letters received
07/17/12 Card production ordered
07/18/12 Card Sent :)
07/20/12 Greencard received

Same problem with me, my receipt date was 04/21/14 I tried to do the e-request and got the same msg, only reason I made a request is because I work for the city and it showed up in the system that my GC is expired so basically on the terminated list at work and I'm not sure if they gonna accept the extension letter

You need to put the date of NOA, not when you actually mailed it. I think the system won't accept a request only after you exceed the processing times with 2 weeks. Taking your filling date, I think you can submit a service request around mid November

day 43-- 05/23/2012-- Notice for an interview is received for 06/26 @ 2pm

day 63-- 06/12/2012-- Received a Text & email for an update- Card production EAD/AP

day 77-- 06/26/2012-- interview / approved on the spot.

day 86-- 07/05/2012-- Received my GC in the mail.

day 1 -- 04/07/2014 -- ROC Package delivered to VSC

day 16 -- 04/23/2014 -- Walk-in Bio.

day 197 -- 10/20/2014-- Approval Letter received dated 10/16/2014

day 202 -- 10/25/2014-- GC received

I saw somewhere on the forum, that they called and could not do a service request after six months too. They were told to wait 30 days after six months and then submit it.

I guess, we will wait. We are going on vacation in mid November, and I was hoping to get the update before we leave.

When we mailed our package, it looked like all Vermond filers got their green cards within six months. Now it is seven months.

05/10/12 RFE response received and under review
06/07/12 Interview is scheduled on 07/10/12 :)

Same issue with me.. I can't do service request

I mailed on 04/04/14 and they received it 03/07/14... I tried both dates and still can't online and by calling them

Mrs. Grant,

The city cannot terminate you for the green card expiration as your green card is valid with the extension letter for an additional year. If you have not already done so get a copy to the HR department where you work at. They should understand the meaning of the letter. If they do not then you may have to contact USCIS about it. But I doubt you will have to.

i got RFE...FOR 7MONTHS OF WAITING.

I SENT 10 DOCUMENTS AND THEY ASKING ME MORE THAN THAT.

I AM PANIC NOW..

submit the docs asap. You'll be getting it soon.

-----Adjustment of Status for both Parents-----------------------------------------------

05/11/2018: Mailed documents I130, I485, I131,I693, NBC for Adjustment of Status

05/16/2018: Received Date/ Priority Date - NOA Received

05/25/2018: Received NOA Bio-metrics for I485 Appt: 06/10/2018

06/10/2018: Bio-metrics are completed

06/12/2018: Received RFE requesting for a Birth Certificate for both parents

07/28/2018: Responded to RFE, sent their non availability of birth certificate copy

08/02/2018: Online status changed to " Request for Evidence was Received"

08/29/2018: Made an info pass appointment requesting for expediting Travel document as parents had to travel India. Expedite request was rejected 

09/14/2018: I131 Parole document was Approved

March VSC filers are getting their green cards this month and still not all of them are approved yet.

When we filed, it was six months and I was hoping to get it by the end of October.

But VSC is very slow now. I saw some June VSC filers got transfered to California, and they might got approvals before us April files or at the same time as us.

I mailed the files to Vermont Service Center on April 8th 2014,when can we get the card?waitting?
