Yes CSC is fast! keep your fingers crossed :D

They were really fast when we did the K-1, back in early 2011. Then got really slow for the AOS. We can breath easy after this stage. My wife is worried about the test for citizenship already when we move to the next step, but I've never heard of anyone ever failing it.

If you change your address before you can receive mail there, its gonna bounce back to them. You need to wait until you're actually moving. Not a good time to be moving, but I'm sure you knew that.

I would give my parents address, that is my permanent address anyhow, since we have been moving around a lot. If his greencard expires before the time the new one is sent, he just has to show it along with the letter for proof of work authorization and travel ability?

I called USCIS last week, and the person on the phone took in a service request regarding missing Bio letter. She took down my email, postal mail and phone number and gave me a ticket number. She also said wait for 30 days before contacting us regarding this ticket! No email/postal mail/phone from anyone yet. Quite absurd. She also said the searchable number comes with BIO letter, so wait for response for BIO letter and then put in a new ticket for searchable number in case BIO has been waived.

How long have others typically waited before getting a response about BIO from USCIS?

Yes, read the NOA1 and you'll see its also the extension letter.

The immigrant is always supposed to have a valid address where they are residing on file. But your parents address sounds like your safe bet now with needing the receive the green card.

Great, thank you, we temporarily changed it to our current address, but both of our driver's licences say my parents address for continuity and stability. :-)

I thought they could take it in their native language, or have a translator?

My mother in law was in her 30s when she took citizenship exam and it was compulsory back then to take the test in English.

If I'm not wrong even now one can take test in native language only after 50yrs of age adding to that there are some requirements.

Better check with USCIS.

here you go! i found something that has correct info

Some applicants are exempt from the English requirements for naturalization based on their age and amount of time as a permanent resident. These applicants must still take the civics test.

If you are age 50 or older and have been a permanent resident of the US for 20 years you can take the test in your native language.

If you are age 55 or older and have been a permanent resident of the US for 15 years you can take the test in your native language.

If you are age 65 or older and have been a permanent resident of the US for 20 years you can take a simplified civics test in your language.

I just got an email from USCIS. Bio is current. Now to find the case number for web searches.

The required biometric images intended for the production or your Permanent Resident Card have been successfully uploaded from a previously filed petition/application. Therefore, an appointment at the Application Support Center (ASC) is not necessary.

Did you try calling USCIS and find it out? You probably should.

Some of April filers were told their bio is current and they do not have to do bio.
