Nahh!!! We are April filers and this is our thread. We are bored waiting for GC approval. So in the meantime we should be allowed to keep ourself entertained.

Yes you do. I'd call again and ask what the case number is so you can track it. This whole your bio is current when its two years old is really surprising me. Something must have changed just in this past month. Or USCIS customer service has taken to lying like rugs.

I spoke to a Tier 1 person and she said that my case number would be the same as the receipt number (on the NOA) and that it would eventually be searchable on the website.

What format are people's case numbers in? The receipt number on my NOA is in the format: EAC-XX-XXX-XXXXX.

The Tier 1 person was actually pretty helpful compared to other experiences with Tier 1 personnel. I did ask to be put onto a Tier 2 person, but then she explained what I mentioned above. I am not convinced that she is correct.

I don't believe your case no would be the same as receipt# on NOA1. PeterandRobin also didn't get the Bio letter still he get his case # from them.

Tier 1 employees go by the book. If you talk to 3 different Tier1 people, each will give you 3 different answers. So you cant really rely on them. Try calling them on Tuesday and demand to talk to tier 2 people. If you are lucky you might get a hold of them. good Luck.

Today I got a letter from USCIS. It is the response from my last call to USCIS.I called them after I did early walk in Biometrics. I think Tier2 employee send my status feedback in mail. I didn't ask for any service request.Here is the letter...

I guess as you went for an early walkin, they had your biometrics when you asked for a service request. Thats the reason they mentioned you dont have to come for bio.

Neela is correct, the Tier 1 would only give me the case number that was on the NOA and said it would be trackable "soon", the Tier 2 gave me a different number and that is the one that is on the online status check, it would have been on your biometrics letter and is different to the NOA1.

I also got the same letter (via email) telling me that my Biometrics were current which was in response to the service request the Tier 1 put in for me before transferring me to the Tier 2.

Nevin, I get the same message when I put in my NOA1 case #. However, I get Initial review status when I put in Bio Letter's case # (which is your main case # to check your online status)
