I ran into the same thing during my wife's AOS, when the bio letter never arrived. Had to wait 30 days from NOA1 until they could put in a service request. Another person at the same time did the same, and the bio letter still didn't come, and they had to wait another 30 days again to request a second time.

Ok. Did you trying talking to Tier2 people?

I ran into the same thing during my wife's AOS, when the bio letter never arrived. Had to wait 30 days from NOA1 until they could put in a service request. Another person at the same time did the same, and the bio letter still didn't come, and they had to wait another 30 days again to request a second time.

I guess to them it either didnt make any sense or may be they refused to transfer to tier2 as i wasn't in the system yet because of the 05/05 NOA.

05/11/2018: Mailed documents I130, I485, I131,I693, NBC for Adjustment of Status

05/16/2018: Received Date/ Priority Date - NOA Received

05/25/2018: Received NOA Bio-metrics for I485 Appt: 06/10/2018

06/10/2018: Bio-metrics are completed

06/12/2018: Received RFE requesting for a Birth Certificate for both parents

07/28/2018: Responded to RFE, sent their non availability of birth certificate copy

08/02/2018: Online status changed to " Request for Evidence was Received"

08/29/2018: Made an info pass appointment requesting for expediting Travel document as parents had to travel India. Expedite request was rejected 

09/14/2018: I131 Parole document was Approved

No I have not. Am I supposed to receive it already?

I do not live in a big city. I live in a city midwest and I feel like it almost always takes more time. Since I have NOA1, I can continue working so I am not in hurry so much but I was hoping to get GC before my current one expires so I can renew my driver's license and it is valid for 5 years instead of 1 year.

Update!

I rang the USCIS after 30 days of receiving the NOA and the Tier 1 person put in a request. The next day I got an e-mail saying that my Biometrics were current and that it is not necessary for me to appear at an ASC at this time.

That is good news, I think.

I don't have a case number to check the status online though. From reading this thread it seems that you get that number with Biometrics correspondence.

You can use NOA1 to renew your drivers license.

I don't see any problem if Nevin and Nene815 stay here. They clearly sent their application on April & it's not their fault USCIS messed up. I think they belong here with us. :)

Update!

I rang the USCIS after 30 days of receiving the NOA and the Tier 1 person put in a request. The next day I got an e-mail saying that my Biometrics were current and that it is not necessary for me to appear at an ASC at this time.

That is good news, I think.

I don't have a case number to check the status online though. From reading this thread it seems that you get that number with Biometrics correspondence.

That's a relief. We'll have to wait and watch if they ask us to come for Bio or just send GC. :clock:

08/29/2018: Made an info pass appointment requesting for expediting Travel document as parents had to travel India. Expedite request was rejected 

09/14/2018: I131 Parole document was Approved

Yes you do. I'd call again and ask what the case number is so you can track it. This whole your bio is current when its two years old is really surprising me. Something must have changed just in this past month. Or USCIS customer service has taken to lying like rugs.

I guess to them it either didnt make any sense or may be they refused to transfer to tier2 as i wasn't in the system yet because of the 05/05 NOA.

USCIS employees lie a lot. Of course your case is in the system since you have your NOA 1. Tell your wife to call them again and insist them to transfer your call to Tier 2/ you want to speak to their supervisor. Tell them you have a pending case with them and only provide you name & A #.

No I have not. Am I supposed to receive it already?

I do not live in a big city. I live in a city midwest and I feel like it almost always takes more time. Since I have NOA1, I can continue working so I am not in hurry so much but I was hoping to get GC before my current one expires so I can renew my driver's license and it is valid for 5 years instead of 1 year.

I suggest calling them and insist them to transfer your call to Tier 2 department. They can explain you why didn't you get your Bio appointment yet. I don't think it matters if you live in a small city. Also ask them if there is case # assigned for you so that you can track your case status.

You can get your case # from USCIS tier 2 department. Try calling them.

It wouldn't hurt them to watch both threads, as they're close to both. I know I intend to be keeping an I on the March thread, as we mailed on April 1st.

Of course they can keep an eye on both threads. But I suggest they not to move there permanently.
