Well! i think i'll have my wife call USCIS.

I wasn't aware of these scenarios where people adjusting their status in USA do get exempted from BIometrics.

Also tell her to make a service request from tier 1 people.

Some of the USCIS employees are so rude. I can understand your frustration about after waiting on hold for so long you got a negative reply/rudeness. Don't listen to them about calling on June 15. Try calling them today once again. Who knows you might get lucky today and get to talk to a nice person. Ask your case # from tier 2 people. Don't loose hope and don't listen to those rude people. Good Luck!!

Thx! I got confused though, do you really think that I should call back now since I got the service reply saying that his fingerprint is still valid and it is not necessary to take it again? I could not check the status online because I did not have the receipt # on the biometric letter (T ^ T) and that rude officer did not give it to me as well!

Unless they're just now making a change to that, then this is not the case. My wife adjusted status here in the USA, and we were just required to do her biometrics for the ROC. We mailed off her petition in April also.

06/12/2018: Received RFE requesting for a Birth Certificate for both parents

07/28/2018: Responded to RFE, sent their non availability of birth certificate copy

08/02/2018: Online status changed to " Request for Evidence was Received"

08/29/2018: Made an info pass appointment requesting for expediting Travel document as parents had to travel India. Expedite request was rejected

Yesterday my wife had called USCIS twice. CSR's there tried creating a ticket but both the times the system wasnt allowing them to create it.

Reason told - still new in the system, NOA1 receipt date should be atleast 30days old.

I ran into the same thing during my wife's AOS, when the bio letter never arrived. Had to wait 30 days from NOA1 until they could put in a service request. Another person at the same time did the same, and the bio letter still didn't come, and they had to wait another 30 days again to request a second time.
