28 days and ssc still pending

Hello VJ,

I applied for ssc 28 day's ago and when i called the office today and told them the ref# they told me that the card still pending

what i have to do ?

if you go back, in person, you can either get the number or learn of the exact problem.

since your poe date was 2014-02-21

then it's quite possible these 28 days ago,

when you applied,

the clerk not find you in the SAVE database and sent out the file for DHS verification (which is a waste of time)

so , I suggest, go back in person, apply again, ask for a SAVE database lookup with the clerk, or ask for the supervisor.

only the ssa clerk will know, and

you must go in person (using a telephone is a waste of time)

Nothing makes sense with these government departments. I had a situation and only by going to the SS office did I get any answers and sometimes they have to make updates right there and then as they did with me. I was having a problems with hyphenating my husbands name and when I called they told me to wait but when I walked in the office they fixed it right away. So good Idea to go in person, let us know what happened and good luck to you.
