If you want, you can visit Canada Post and have them forward your mail to the U.S. for 6 months or a year. (There's a fee.) As pieces come, you can get yourself off mailing lists in Canada and help protect your identity.

You can also visit Shoppers Drug Mart and stock up on your favourite over-the-counter remedies, because most things in the U.S. are by prescription: Allegra, Robaxit, 222s ...

Just wanted to let everyone know i checked with Canada POst. The "forward" option costs 60$ for 6 months from Canada to a US address (3 months was a steal at 50$), so unless you get A LOT of mail, it's probably not worth it. However, they do give out free little post card "change of address" forms (I think 17 or so in a package). Just an FYI.

I forwarded my mail from Canada tothe USA, had no problems at all. Glad I did , because I forgot to change a few important addresses.
