Just to clarify, i thought EP will shave 2-3 months off your processing time, at least that's what I read. Is that not true?

I sent the enroll email on 4/15 and it's been 9 days still no response. Both AOS and IV bills are paid, i could sent in the AOS package by snail mail 7 days ago.

Did i make a mistake to enroll in EP and should just done regular snail mail? This is for china/guanzhou so i had the option to do either.

Just wait and more wait :ranting: As a developer myself, whoever designed those process and systems in uscis and nvc all needs to be fired. Just horrible...

I in the same boat. I called the NVC yesterday and was told they read the emails in the receiving order. Therefore for the ENROLL email, it still take them 30 days to response. They are at 3/27 email at the moment.

Looks like the EP may save the time for the mailing to China, it is wasting more time at NVC.

The amount of time that it saves you for china, more than makes up for the amount of time it may spend at the NVC.

I have been waiting for the whole month for their reply. It is already 30 days. They are super slow and they don't care how important for get the case move to next step to us.

Does anyone here know what documents should I prepare after receive their acceptance e-mail?

Hi, Everyone,

I just got the email for EP.

I just thought about this. For AOS, the scan file for this years tax return alone is already pretty big 18MB. I was told I need to attach every 1099s, 1098s, W2 and 6 month of pay stubs. If all these attached, the whole email will be even bigger. Do they require to submit all AOS documents in one email? If so, is there limits for the email size?

Thanks!

If you're using adobe you can condense the size.

The NVC website has a description of how they want you to send the items. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/how-to-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html

Also why not download a tax return transcript vs the entire tax return (also easily gotten same day at any IRS office.) This will end up as 2 pages for tax information instead of the entire tax return.

Hi, Everyone,

Another question.

For IR2 and CR1 visa, does either one of the case requires any petitioner's document, such as petitioner's birth certificate, marriage certificate or divorce decree?

Thanks

Only the spousal visa requires the marriage certificate. But it doesn't require anything from the petitioner. (BTW would be IR1 and IR2 or CR1 and CR2 unless the child is instantly becoming a USC upon entry)

Well remember the delay we were subjected to a USCIS ? the backlog is catching up with NVC. domino effect. nothing more than that.

I sent my ENROLL email on April 18 and just received my confirmation today, May 21. They are starting to take longer than 30 days for acceptance :protest:

Just got off the phone with NVC regarding the same issue, asking what the heck happened to my ENROLL request?

They told me they STOPPED sending enrollment confirmation, and asked me to submit the documents electronically.

Apparently they are experiencing a huge load of emails, and they have changed the flow of electronic processing. The agent told me that once they receive the documents electronically, it will "implicitly" trigger your case as Electronically Processed, even if you didn't send an enrollment request.

so folks, go ahead and submit them documents. no need to wait anymore.

cheers.

Well that's only partly true.. I called yesterday and they told me the same. That I should just email in my documents and it will automatically be accepted for EP. BUT I also received a confirmation email this morning.. so they ARE still sending out the acceptance letters.

that's sorta neat, actually.

almost neeto-keen, spiffy-ish.

There are all sorts of electronic filters they could turn on, I wish they would have done it sooner rather than now.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
