The ICC World T-20 is well underway in Bangladesh. Must say the Bangladeshi crowd is one of the most passionate that I have ever seen. The Bangladeshi fans swarm the stadiums even for the neutral games.

The teams I am supporting are India and New Zealand.

India has had a fantastic start with a fabulous win against our arch-rivals Pakistan and thus maintaining and increasing our enviable World Cup record to 9-0 (5 World Cup wins and 4 World T-20 wins). India then beat West Indies and now tops Group-2 which many pundits have rated to be the Group of Death. Pakistan after its initial loss to India stunned Australia. West Indies today thrashed home team Bangladesh and now Group 2 is wide open.

In Group 1- Sri Lanka is well on top and its a toss up between New Zealand and South Africa. England must win all their remaining 3 games after their loss to New Zealand in a rain curtailed match. South Africa beat New Zealand in a cliff hanger of a contest by just 2 runs with Dale Steyn bowling a magnificent last over. Overall it has been a great World Cup so far and I am looking forward to a great tournament.

Of course next year is the big one the 50 over World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Who else is following the World T-20 this year?

It has been a terrific T-20 World Cup so far and the semi-final list is ready.

Tomorrow Sri Lanka is going to face off with West Indies who yesterday in a must knock out match trounced Pakistan with 84 runs which is a huge margin in a T-20 game.

India is going to face South Africa in the second semi-final.

Dale Steyn bowled an outstanding last over to drag South Africa over the line and into the semi-finals. New Zealand just needed 7 runs in 6 deliveries and Steyn produced an absolutely unreal over where he got 2 wickets and effected 1 run out.

The most tense and emotionally charged up match was between the West Indies and Australia. West Indies players took to heart the comment made by James Faulkner ahead of the game that he does not like the West Indies players.

West Indies needed 41 runs in just 18 balls for an unlikely victory but they had their two best hitters on the crease- skipper Darren Sammy and Dwayne Bravo. But it was Darren Sammy who absolutely pulverized both Starc and Faulkner to lift West Indies to a famous win.

And then yesterday it was a virtual quarter-final between the West Indies and Pakistan. West Indies looked down for the first 15 overs when they batted but unleashed pure hell in the last 5 overs of their innings to score 82 runs. Pakistan was never in the hunt in their chase of 167 runs and folded very easily much to the chagrin of their millions of fans.

It is all nicely set up for the semi-finals now. All the 4 are capable of winning this trophy and that is the real beauty of this tournament now.
