One of the things I miss about Sri Lanka the most, is in school, no matter the religion, three times a week the students of the same faith gathered, learned about their faith and discussed their problems. Christian s together, Catholic, the Hindus learned to write in Tamil and d iscuss their faith as well as the Muslim children learned Arabic. It was one of the most beautiful things I had seen before. And nobody hated their American, Baptist teacher, me, because they had been groomed to mingle with people from different races and religion s from very young.

Yeah Putin passed the same program in Russia.

My post was actually directed at your closed mindedness. You would probably think it was okay to give DNA tests to kids too. They have to be no more than 0.01% black or brown to be admitted.

In a free society many choices are available.

If schools are almost 90% Black in Baltimore, why shouldn't Hispanics enjoy a school in the district for them too, same for whites.

People should be free to choose and earn their way into any school they want.

Why stop at school? Let students vote on their teachers, what they want for lunches and what their parents should pay for their extra curricular activities. If you try to feed your daughter broccoli and she hates it, she should be allowed to vote for a new parent. It's all about choices.

Excuse me, the choices I spoke of were for Parents.

Parents are the tax provider (in theory) and they will determine what is best for their kid.
