Not sure if I'm in the right place to ask this;

I am awaiting packet 4 for K1 visa (from Montreal)...so I know that I still have plenty of time to finish preparing my paperwork. On the checklist it specifies to translate birth certificate (or any other paperwork) to English. I was born in the province of Quebec, my birth certificate is in French. Where do I go to get a a birth certificate translated to English?

thx in advance!

There are a lot of forums on Quebec BC's and translating them on visa journey, here are 2 of many links, read up!

If you are fluent in both French and English, you can translate it yourself. Just include a statement that says you certify you are fluent in both languages and that the translation is an accurate translation. Sign and date it.

thanks for the links/info. I only have a "short form" bc so I opted to order a long form birth certificate in English. (hopefully they send me an English one, that's what I asked for...)should be here in 2 weeks or so, which is fine. STILL no appointments available in Montreal so it seems like I have plenty of time!
